Hi there!
So, I don't have much experience with procedures like this, but my wedding is coming up and it took me 7 months to size down to a 6-8mm gauge from having slowly stretched my ears over 6 years up to a 00, and I definitely want to wear cute earrings on my wedding day!
I wasn't 100% sure I was even going to follow through with this procedure, but had done quite a bit of research over recent months in both Toronto and Calgary, and upon contacting Dr. Zakhary's office I had a good feeling about biting the bullet!
My initial phone call asking for further information (even though her website is fairly thorough, and I liked what I saw) went so well! Her receptionist was very accommodating, well informed and informative. Having done my research I can definitely say not all offices are the same, and it truly makes a difference!
They also prepare you with knowledge via email reminding you of everything you need to know about preparing yourself physically for your up coming appointment should you book with them, which I thought was very well done!
Then, upon arriving, everyone at the office is both polite and friendly, including Dr. Zakhary! I really don't have a single thing to say about this clinic that isn't positive (clearly :) ). It has been a week since my procedure, I went in today to have the majority of my stitches removed by I believe her name was Shelby. She was at the clinic for my initial procedure as well and she is also both sweet and good at her job!
It's too soon for me to truly speak to the final result of my procedure with Dr. Zakhary, however I can confidently say I made the perfect choice going with her for this procedure! She was thoughtful, professional, very precise and a joy to be around to boot.
My friends and fiancé are super impressed by the results so far and some of my friends were a little skeptical about me getting this done to begin with, so, I would say it's been a success this far! And I bet I will be even more impressed once my lobes are fully healed :) At this point I have totally symetrical lobes, a thin pink line down each lobe (which, thanks to the scar cream prescribed by Dr.Zachary, I'm certain will practically disappear) and a couple dissolvable stitches left in the back of each.
Anyway, long story short, I definitely recommend Dr.Zakhary for this procedure and probably any others she offers too given her lovely clinic, precise work and passion for doing the best job possible.
