How it works
- Our highly-trained Review Moderation team evaluates all reviews before they're published to ensure they're written by people like you and not a member of a doctor's office.
- This multi-step process takes up to 24 hours from review submission to publication.
- Doctors can't pay to have reviews removed or hidden.
- Reviews are only removed at the reviewer's request or if they violate our Terms of Service.
If you have questions or believe we should re-evaluate a published review, let us know.

Added some photos for you girls to see what can happen to you
Hi everyone, I decided to post a few pics of the results so you could see how terrible they are, hope to help someone make the same mistake I did. Avoid Dr. Dawes if you don't want to look like these photos.
Prizes for reviews
Oh and I also forgot to mention that he gives prizes out for people that leave reviews for him on sites, so beware of positive reviews for him as people have an incentive to embellish in hopes of winning stuff from him.
I had liposuction to the abdomen and flanks from...
I had liposuction to the abdomen and flanks from Dr. Dawes over a year ago. The results were really bad to say the least. My right flank had most of the fat removed, so much so that there was an indent. Then my left side still had a significant amount of fat, so much so that several people commented on it that it looked odd, it was very noticeable to even the untrained eye. When I saw another surgeon about fixing it, he said it looked like that side was not even touched. In fact, he asked me if I had a medical emergency that stopped the surgery because that would explain the difference. But I have seen my medical chart from that day and nothing out of the ordinary happened. I also had another major indent on my lower left flank. Lastly, as if all of that wasn't bad enough, the front of my abdomen was wavy all over and another indent as well. I complained to Dr. Dawes about the issues and he said my results were reasonable, but that he could fix it for $3,000 to use his new "coolscuplting machine" and that he couldn't do another surgery because I didn't have enough fat left. So I went and saw another doctor to get an opinion of my problems. He said I had many issues and that it would be so complex to fix and so he sent my file to another doctor to get another opinion. And he also said the coolscuplting could not fix my problems (and he also has that machine at his practice as well). Once I realized it wasn't an easy fix, I decided to contact a liposuction correction specialist. So I ended up finding the doctor that fixed Tara Reid's botched job in LA and sent him pictures of my results. He said I would need fat transfers to fill in the dents and fix the waviness.. Long story short, I ended up flying to LA and paying $12k to get my abdomen and flanks looking normal again. Before I left, I asked Dr.Dawes for a refund and he refused but then changed his tune and said he would fix me free of charge. But then even though I was broke and had to put the $12k on a credit card that charges 20% interest rate, I still decided that I would rather do that than have Dr. Dawes do any surgery on me again since he first said he couldn't do a surgery and wanted to do coolscuplting to fix the problem which the other doctors explained wouldn’t help. Furthermore, through my research on liposuction correction, I learned that each successive liposuction is harder to correct because of scar tissue and then it can never fully go back to normal. So since Dr. Dawes had already given me poor results once, I didn't want to risk my shot at fixing this since going back to fix anything for a 3rd time would mean that doctor wouldn’t be able to fix a lot of the issues to due all the scar build-up . And I only have one body for life, so I didn’t want to risk messing it up permanently by letting Dr. Dawes attempt a fix. Especially since he is a newer doctor with less experience than the prominent doctors (he only finished his residency program and started his own practice around 2010). Through my whole experience dealing with him, I realized it was better to suck it up and pay the $12k than to have him touch me again. Also, for my follow-ups, I called 3 times to book my follow-up and each time someone said they would call me back and then didn't, and I ended up having to wait quite awhile to get an appointment since I couldn't get someone to book one. I kept all the pictures of my results, private message me and I will send them to you and you can judge yourself whether you would call those "reasonable" results and if you would want to look like that.
Provider Review
I would not ever go see this doctor again, even for free.
