Pictures! And post-op day 3 update

Pictures are from the day of my operation (Feb 17) to post-op day 3! I went with 415cc in right and 340cc in the left. Implants were Natrelle round, cohesive gel, placed under the muscle. I believe that these implants were of a higher profile.

Today is post-op day 3. I am able to move my arms with little to no pain (I am no longer taking my pain meds). However, since I am still swollen, my movement is restricted. I was also able to wash my hair today, and boy did it feel good! I have noticed that both of my nipples are numb, as is the bottom portion of my breast; hopefully this goes away soon. So far I am happy with my recovery, but I am also starting to get impatient. I can't wait for the girls to drop so I can see their finished result and so I can go shopping for some cute new bras and tops!!

Post-Op day 1

I still can't believe that I had my BA yesterday! :) So far the healing process is going great! I was expecting to experience much more pain and discomfort than what I am actually having. I have been taking my pain and antibiotic medications as directed by the nurse, and I plan on keeping up with the pain medication for a few more days. My day was spent napping, watching Netflix and doing some reading. I still have no appetite, but I have made sure to make drinking lots of water a priority. Going to the bathroom also hasn't been as difficult today as it was yesterday. The swelling has also gone down slightly in my upper chest. Although, when I gently press on the middle of my upper chest I can feel fluid squish. I have read that this is normal though, so I'm not worried. I also don't feel too bloated yet. Fingers crossed that I continue to heal like this.

Operation Day!!

My boyfriend and I arrived at the facility at 9:30am and were immediately brought into the waiting room. Soon, we met with the nurse who took my blood pressure and went over my medications with us. She then provided me with an operation gown and a warmed housecoat - so cozy! After she left, I put these on and was able to keep on my panties and sweat pants. Then, I met with the anesthesiologist (Dr. Patal), and he went over what I should expect once I entered the operation room. Then, Dr. Whidden came into the waiting room. He answered all of my last minute questions, and then drew all the necessary markings on me. He was super friendly and making small talk with me to help me relax. Next thing I knew, I was saying goodbye to my boyfriend and walking into the operation room! The nurses helped me onto the gurney and made sure I was very comfortable. Meanwhile, Dr. Patal inserted my IV and started administering the drugs. Immediately I felt like I had one drinks too many, and then the nurse put an oxygen mask on my face and talked with me until I fell asleep. It probably took less than a minute for me to fall asleep. It felt like I was only asleep for minutes before I was waking up in recovery! The nurse was with me when I woke up, and gave me some of my pain meds and some water. When I woke up my chest was tight but I didn't experience much pain. The dizziness from the anesthetic was worse than the pain, in my opinion. I stayed in recovery for about an hour, and then my boyfriend picked me up and took me home! I was home before 1:30pm.

I had such a wonderful experience at MacLeod Trail Plastic Surgery! All of the staff were so friendly, they got me whatever I needed. I highly recommend this facility and Dr. Whidden to anyone considering a breast augmentation :)

For the rest of the evening I was very tired so I had short naps and watched netflix while awake. I didn't really have any appetite, so I didn't eat much. The tightness/swollenness of my chest increased as the night went on, but as long as I stayed laying down (at 45 degrees) the pain wasn't too bad. The most difficult thing for me was using the bathroom. I needed my boyfriend to help me pull my pants down and up and even pump the soap for me haha. I made sure to stay on top of my pain medication and drink lots of water. Overall I was expecting to be in more pain, so it has been a relatively enjoyable experience. I will post pictures later :)

I had my consultation with Dr. Whidden a couple of days ago, and I must say I was very impressed with him, the facility and all the other staff! I feel very confident about choosing him as my surgeon because of his reputation for a natural look. I did not find him "cold" like a few other girls have, rather I found that he answered all my questions very concisely. Also, nurse Vanessa was very easy to talk with and very knowledgeable about the procedure and implants. Even Dalyce, the patient coordinator, was very knowledgable about the practice!
