I have always hated my labia, at 13 I went to my mom crying because they looked funny and would get caught in my underwear. I avoided wearing spandex pants for years and never wore bikini bottoms without shorts over top because of the bulge. It was so hard to keep the area clean because discharge would dry in the folds and I was constantly getting skin infections around my vagina due to the moisture they would keep. I finally decided to do the procedure and wanted to share my story in case anyone was looking into this procedure.
I had a mid-day procedure, luckily I was pre-occupied with school until the day before so I didnt have a long time to worry. I was sooo nervous walking into the office, it took everything in me to go through with this but now that it is done I am so happy that I did. I had my surgery under local anesthetic and personally think that general would be an unnecessary risk. The area was frozen with a gel before the injections of anesthetics. The injections did hurt a little, especially closer to the clit, however my surgeon was amazing and did half let it freeze a bit and then finished it off which definitely helped with the pain. Apparently they used to not use the freezing gel before and I cannot imagine how much that would hurt. The procedure itself took about an hour and I was able to watch tv, play on my phone, ect while he worked. Many people say they did not even think about anything but tv, ect during the procedure but that was not my experience. You can feel the stitches (not painful its just like you can tell something is there strangest feeling) and hear the vaccuum from the laser, and feel the water and other things in the surrounding area. None of this was painful but it did bother me (I kept thinking about what was going on down there and it was making me squeamish) however it was not unbearable and I ended up sitting their with my eyes closed trying to focus on other things. So far there is only a little bit of pain (more stinging).
I didnt tell a soul I was doing this so I am currently sitting in my hotel I have for 5 days and I am SO BORED but know that I should be sitting here to let it heal. So far it looks great and I know it will swell more so I am just enjoying seeing a bit more of a final product before the swelling takes over. I have taken one naproxen before the surgery and have tylenol #3s (taken 1 so far) and I have iced for 20 min as well as I am wearing tighter underwear (wish I brought spandex shorts as the compression helps) . Hoping tomorrow wont be that bad. Please message me with any questions I know the worry and mental game with this surgery is hard, personally I have wanted this for so many years and despite the crazy cost I am happy I did it for me. I didnt have a before photo but they were about 4-5cm stretched so this is a huge and welcomed change.

I have to do this!! I'm 19 with the same problem. Ever since I was young I freaked out and prayed it would get smaller or go away as I got older. I have never had surgery before and needles and lasers freak me out more than anything. I was able to sit through a rib cage tattoo so I think I could handle this procedure. I can't wear certain bikini bottoms because of the bulge and I think it's the most horrible and self-conscious thing i've ever had to go through. If this isn't too personal- how much did it cost? I'm a college student working part time, but i'm dyingggg for this. I hate looking at my naked body in the mirror

It cost be 5400 but cost varies depending on where you live, if cost is similar where you are say save 6000 if you are like me and need some recovery time at a hotel! I am a college student to but I was tired of the pain and insecurity so I just went for it! Best of luck make sure you do research before you settle on a doctor, it took me 1-2 years to finally book my procedure!

Hi, I was wondering after your procedure how did you get to your hotel? Were you alright to drive afterwards, did you get a cab, or did someone you know come and get you?

Slept like a baby from 11-2p it was wonderful, I have not taken any painkillers at all aside from the naproxen the surgeon gave me and told me to keep taking even if there was no pain as it was an anti-inflammatory. Yesterday I took 2 tylenol #3s at around 8p and one at around 4p and that is it. I am walking like an idiot and have hardly left my bed. The hardest part about doing this alone is definitely trying to take care of yourself, I didnt ice from 11-2 (but no pain) because the tylenol made me so tired and I feel like I should be drinking more water. I have been peeing (without pushing) and then taking a cup of water and letting it fall on the area to keep it clean. I think I will shower today (I was told no baths) so far so good!

Looking at pictures of other franken vaginas has calmed my nerves, starting to have some brusing and a lot more swelling on the left side. Still no pain but I am taking naproxen 500mg as it is anti-inflammatory, also using polysporin with lidocaine 2-3 times a day!
