Calf Implants Excellent Results with Dr. Beck in DFW
WORTH IT$12,300
Dr. Beck did an incredible job on my bilateral double calf implants. He added over 1.5" to the size of each calf muscle, had great bedside manner, and his team is super competent and professional. I drove up 3 hours from Austin and rented a VRBO near his outpatient surgery center and the entire experience was very pleasant.

6 Weeks Post Op
Today, I had a follow up with Dr. Beck. Most of the additional swelling I had went down, so the definition that the implants created is really attractive. Dr. Beck even says that in the coming months, there will be even more definition showing. I’ve been cleared to resume all workouts, climb stairs normally, and I no longer have to walk flat footed. Some doctors say you’re fine to walk normally and resume activities at 4 weeks, but I’m super grateful that Dr. Beck stood his ground in not clearing me until the 6 week mark. I was able to do crunches / sit ups as long as my legs were elevated slightly, so it’s not like I was completely inactive. If I would have done anything strenuous during weeks 4 and 5, I cold have risked the implants shifting due to the scar tissue not firmly sealing them in place. I know that because I accidentally forgot to place both feet on a stair together during week 4 and the soreness and cramping returned. I’m applying Hydrate by Eraclea twice daily (which will drastically reduce the scars since it contains Hyaluronic acid zinc) and I’m continuing to moisturize my legs with lotion. I feel good, I’m excited to resume lifting, and this was definitely well worth the wait!

Could you give more details on the pain level in the first week after surgery? Thanks.

Hi! The doc will make sure you are loaded up on painkillers and consistently taking them for the first 7 days, so you'll mostly be out of it and won't process the pain. It will feel like an 8 out of 10. Think about someone squeezing as hard as possible on the muscles inside of your calves and that is what it feels like but with the pain meds, you'll be napping on and off in a state of numbness on a recliner or couch. The pain was my biggest reservation but after having the courage to go through with it, I wish I would have done this 5 or 10 years ago. Have a good caretaker with you will empty your urine cup and you won't have to get up for the first few days when the pain is the worst and then suddenly, it will become manageable to make it to the toilet, time will pass, and you will be healed with gorgeous new calves. Definitely go to Dr. Beck!

Do you know what type and size of implants he used?

June 21, 2020
They used the company Implantech and there are 200 cc's per implant. There are 2 implants per leg, so 400 total cc's per leg. They feel like real muscle and when my friends poke them, they can't tell the difference between the implants and muscle.

Hey hey! I'm exactly 6 months post op and I just helped my friend move into a giant house. I was successful able to carry the heaviest items you can imagine with zero pain at all. I even got a ton of compliments on how "huge" my calves are which I never thought would happen in a million years! I wish I would have done this a decade sooner.

Hallo,
thank you for sharing your experiences with others here. Myself I have only a chin implant (and some lipo) I haven't written about it here yet, but I share the fantastic effect the implants have. What size and model are you wearing?

August 24, 2020
Awesome. The model is Implantech and there are 2 over each leg (400 cc's in each leg)

Hey man first off awesome calves!! Just a quick question, have you had any trouble running/ skipping/ jumping or squating, doing heavy seated or standing calf raises at all? Just wanting to confirm that there hasn’t been any changes in functionality from you were doing before to now, and that the implants are securely in place.. as your months into post op.
Thanks again for your post!

Hey! I just did leg day last night and I squatted my heaviest weight so far with no issues. I have also been walking the 5 mile loop multiple times per week without any issues. I'm still totally functional - just stronger than before. This month marks a year since the surgery and it couldn't be better!
