Consultation review: Taking Advantage $$$

I went to a number of doctors in the Charlotte area (where I live) and Los Angeles (where I work) for consultations on a fat transfer procedure. I met with Dr. Bhati at HKB. He was clearly knowledgeable and I have no reason to think he's not capable. However, I had consulted with highly regarded Beverly Hills surgeons already and was shocked at HKB's prices. They are 3X the national average. I had the procedure done in LA by a top doctor (so happy!) at literally half the price of HKB. I think that the Charlotte market is growing but that there is not enough competition to get real market rates. Moreover, I think there are many surgeons in the area who are at least as qualified as HKB but they are just savvy at marketing. Personally, I want a doctor who cares more about the end results and about me...I'm willing to pay above market rate but I don't want to be taken advantage of. Until there are a few more surgeons in the area who (and I hate to say this) invest in the social media marketing, then HKB will continue to charge absorbitant rates. Ugh. NOT FOR ME.
