Dr. Hughes, Inferior Butt Tuck Lift
WORTH IT
Hi everyone, it’s been a while since I have been on here.
But if you have read my previous review about my butt implants, here is a new twist. Before I begin, let’s start with my surgeon ....Dr Hughes is amazing!!!! Very confident, knowledgeable and talented at his profession. Everyone is his office is very nice and the atmosphere is friendly and comfortable. Simply a wonderful surgeon backed with a great staff. I highly recommend Dr Hughes! I have had my fair share of procedures done over the years, by various surgeons but Dr. Hughes stands out from them all! He has exceptional talent / experience to do what other surgeons might not be comfortable with or not have the experience to do. If you are planning or even thinking of having a cosmetic procedure...make an appointment to consult with Dr. Hughes, he truly is an excellent surgeon and will give you the best truthful guidance/ information.Love what you did for me Dr Hughes!!!Note; previous and this surgery did not involve any fat transfer. So not BBL.To recap I had my first butt implants in 2014 a tear drop shape under muscle 450cc and my butt was awesome! Then two years later 2016, I fell extremely hard which damaged the pockets in which the implant are in. This caused a spinning and flipping. So I lived with it until 2017 and had them replaced with under muscle as before, but 600cc (larger implants for more projection) ovals by the original PS (not Hughes) and pocket corrected. They were great but maybe it was just natural aging or the oval implants, I gradually became dissatisfied. While the former PS did a good job, and surgery went well, I came to feel my butt just looked long. With a bit of extra skin, double crease at butt /thigh. Just didn’t look as great as it did with my first implants. Basically, I wanted a shorter, higher butt with fuller lower portion. Fat transfer was not something I really wanted to try as it would not solve the long appearance. I found Dr. Kenneth Hughes and he is amazing! He is very nice but definitely tells it like it is...which is good! I appreciate getting to the real truth of what to expect / pros /cons/ possible or not and why. No vague rush job or standard blah blah, he really expands upon info and a super friendly office staff. No LA spin, just to get a booking. The facts ...good, bad or indifferent, he tells you how it is, not just what you want to hear.He had patience with me as I went to see him for three consultations as I got comfortable with a procedure, I was interested in but had read many conflicting thoughts on this procedure. I wanted a shorter, higher, rounder butt.....so I inquired about a Butt Lift TUCK / Inferior buttock lift at gluteal crescent fold. Kinda called various things but this is not to be confused with the BBL ( Brazilian Butt Lift). This is the INFERIOR BUTT TUCK LIFT where the butt is corrected at the gluteal crescent fold, where butt meets thigh. I was not interested in lifting from/at lower back. Dr. Hughes answered all my questions as to why most PS don’t do this procedure at the fold. He also explained why he does this procedure when others will not or can not. Along with how he obtains great success / results with it. So feeling comfortable with this new knowledge and excited, I booked my appointment for first week of April 2019.As luck would have it, I learned shortly after via an MRI that my 11 year old silicone breast implants had ruptured. So I added breast implant replacement to my surgery date. This would require removal of all the silicone goo loose in the implant pockets, replacement of implants with lollipop lift. All of which was straight forward enough except for the fact I had no record of the size breast implants I had in. I had replaced my breast implants four times gradually going larger, over the years. Last set was 11 years ago and previous PS had purged records. So all I could tell Dr. Hughes was I knew they were big, taking a guess on what I thought I had in. Dr. Hughes’ office ordered a range of sizes to insure they had what I would need. In short my rupture was a mess to clean out. I apparently had 700cc in, so based on losing a cup size with a lift, Dr. Hughes put in 745cc to bring me back to my size. Enough of the breast issue, back to the butt. So I decided to remove the under muscle 600 cc oval butt implants and go with under muscle 600cc rounds. Personally I felt since I wanted a shorter / rounder butt, removing the long ovals for round would make sense, in addition to the inferior butt tuck lift.As the surgery date neared I got my lab work and medical clearance out of the way. Picked up meds I would need for after surgery and misc items. That was a bit challenging to find a pharmacy to fill qty of my pain med prescription. Thanks to all the people that abuse meds! Booked a hotel near Dr Hughes office for the week after surgery. I decided to do this as my residence has stairs and did not want to hassle with stairs. Surgery date came and everything went smoothly. As I slept, Dr Hughes worked his magic cleaning out my ruptured implants and lifting both breasts and butt. Recovery has been weeks of laying on my stomach and /or sides. No back. No bending over, sitting, no anything that will put tension on the stitches on my gluteal fold. All transportation has to be done laying on stomach in vehicle. Getting 100 plus grams of protein per day for recovery. With all my care, early on I somehow busted some stitches on the butt lift. Which has been frustrating in the slow process of it healing and trying to avoid any infection. But it is coming on slowly but surely. After the surgery Dr. Hughes has been prompt in replying to any issues, via email. My post op appts are always on time, he doesn’t keep you waiting. So here I am 7 weeks out with my next follow up on Tues. I love my results so far and look forward to the final results! Thank you Dr Hughes!I have posted pics of where I am now an will post some before pics in a few days.If you are planning or even thinking of having a cosmetic procedure...make an appointment to consult with Dr. Hughes, he truly is an excellent surgeon and will give you the best truthful guidance/ information.Love what you did for me Dr Hughes!!!

I just got a lift to remove extra skin/banana rolls with a similar scar in the gluteal fold 3 1/2 wks ago and my scars are super dark right now too. I’ve been keeping silicone scar tape on them 24/7 to smooth them down and hopefully lighten them, but I’m getting a little scared that they’re going to stay dark.
