Bye Bye Drains

I was so happy to part with my drains two days ago, day 13 post op. I am finally able to get some good views of what my final results on the lower half of my body’s skin removal journey. So far I’m liking what I’m seeing for a change

The Aftermath

The recovery from this procedure was so much easier than my other two skin removal surgeries, thankfully! I’m mostly in pain from sitting too much and the liposuction I had to my inner thighs. My usually post op rash reared its ugly head on day 2 and I got out my itchy med from my last surgery as well as a steroid cream. It is super tight in my lower back when I’m walking and where I had my fusion is sore. I had one night of restless, itchy legs on like day 5 or day 6, but otherwise I’ve been able to sleep in my lift chair pretty much all night.

Day of surgery - My oldest sister was my person to take me to surgery this go-around. We got to the surgical center promptly at 7am for my surgery time of 8:30. I hardly slept the night before and it was clearly apparent when I dropped the urine sample cup in the toilet! After that debacle, it was pretty smooth sailing until I woke up from surgery. I again had the same nurse after this one as I did my thigh lift and she was awesome! I woke up with my stomach hurting, I think it was more from hunger than the meds and it was super hard to wake me up. I ended up being at the surgical center from 7am to 3pm! Some of that was bc we became best friends with our nurse and talked about everything from kids to careers, that we lost track of time and I had to ask her if I could get my clothes so we could start the process of getting ready to go home lol!

Today is day 11 and so far I’m loving what I see! My surgeon not only took several of inches off my backside, but he also lipo suctioned my inner thighs to help finish up the contouring of my thigh lift and get the thighs off each other; the rubbing of my scar-ridden thighs was more than I could take. I still have my drains until my follow-up appt in 2 days; they’re draining about a total between the two of them 30ml a day.

I’ve posted some pics from surgery day and day 1 post op. I’ve also added some pics to show how much skin was removed, or basically how I lost an entire tattoo lol!

Butt Be Lifted

After the mommy makeover and a thigh lift, I'm completing the final skin removal stage of my lower body with the all important butt lift.

No, not a bbl, my butt has plenty of volume; this is just a loose skin situation. Tomorrow is the big day and I'm super stoked! I've added a few before pics.
