4 years post op removal and reconstruction. I’m still in pain and in need of more surgery!

I wasn't going to start a new review, but I want to be honest and hopefully help another person suffering from biopolymers. I was 19 when I was lied to by a nurse who injected me with what he said was high grade hydrogel to enhance my butt. I had only 2 sessions with him in a medical setting and it has cost me sooo much grief, depression and physical pain. I thought all of my troubles were coming to end when I found Dr. Andres Díaz Paz, I did my research and went with him because I felt he was very knowledgeable in the removal process as he advised me that does these kinds of surgeries all the time, which he indeed does. Now I had my removal surgery January 27, 2017, he removed quite a of bit tissue from me during this surgery due to the biopolymers compacting in one area. After removal, I was ok, very small, but still in good spirits. I had no issues during my open surgery for removal with Paz and was sent home after 21 days in Cali back to Miami to get better and come back in 6 months for my reconstruction. Fast forward 7 months after my removal (August/2018) I return to Cali for my reconstruction with Dr. Andres Díaz Paz. I was very optimistic about my reconstruction. My reconstruction consisted of me getting a butt implant placed intramuscular and fat transfer around it, due to me not having enough fat for just a fat transfer. I also wanted to do breast augmentation which Dr. Díaz advised he could do in the same surgery. So it was agreed upon and we proceeded to move forward with surgery on my surgery day. My reconstructive surgery went well, no complications when I woke up from surgery and my buttock was back to its normal shape. I had the butterfly style incision that was very thin and I was happy at that point. I got massages and did everything I was suppose to post op and was eventually discharged by Dr. Díaz to fly back home to Florida. I spent 2 weeks and a half in Cali after my reconstruction, and flew back home. After being home for about a week, I came down with a fever of .104, and my incision on my right side was leaking a fluid. I went to ER immediately and was told that I had an infection. The right side had so much tissue taken out it basically started to sink in. They had to open the right side of my buttock up and clean out the infection. When it was all said and done I was let with a 6"inch long -3" inch wide hole on the rig side of my buttock. I spent over a year packing and nursing that tissue back to life. After a year of packing the tissue has grown back substantially, but I am still left with a very noticeable indentation in that area of my butt. After that infection, I went back to Dr. Díaz Paz to repair the damage from the infection, the large hole. I only had a fat transfer done. But for some reason he was unable to get the fat to that area to stay in that area. He said it kept moving, so he was unable to fix the indentation on my right side. I went home, still with one side of my buttock sort of sunken in. I have been not had any surgery or been back to Paz since the last reconstruction. Now almost 4 years since my last reconstruction, I am experiencing a lot of discomfort to my thighs and hip area , which I believe is a small amount of biopolymers Dr. Díaz was unable to remove during my first removal. I also feel a lot of pain to my buttock due to scar tissue underneath the skin. I saw my PCP today who ordered about 4 different MRI scans and I will be sending those MRI cd's to Dr. Kenneth Hughes. I will be paying for a consultation with him to see how he can rid me of the remaining biopolymers in my thighs and hip, and also to do something about the pain from the scar tissue. I would like to get back to some type of normalcy. I won't be going back Colombia for anymore surgery. I have had 4 surgeries and still not really happy with my end/final results. Dr. Díaz Paz is a wonderful doctor with great best side manners, but I don't think he can help me any further. I need a reconstructive surgeon who is detailed and precise. I will be recording my journey for anyone who wants to follow. I know there are many out there suffering and I feel your pain. Pray and keep your faith that you will get you health back. The constant itching, burning, hard lumps and health problems will all be a memory. I am still very optimistic. I'm
Glad I have a new PCP who is doing test, ordering labs and assisting me to finding the best surgeon to help me with this ONCE AND FOR ALL.

Dr. Paz gave me my life back!

Hello my beautiful ladies, today marks 8 days since I had reconstructive surgery with Dr. Andres Diaz Felipe Paz in Cali, Colombia and I can't stop crying from tears of joy. Those who have followed me throughout this journey, I can finally say that I am at the end of the rainbow and am healthy and happier than ever with my end results. It has been a very hard recovery but for those women who are suffering from silicone injections, there is hope. Do not delay and call Dr. Diaz Paz right away for the best, knowledgeable and caring board certified reconstructive plastic surgeon there is in this field. I can't begin to tell you how great the doctor and his staff treated me not only during surgery but when I went home to recuperate from the removal also. There for me 24 hours a day no matter what questions or concerns that I had. More importantly look at the results. His work speaks for itself. All I can say is Dr. Diaz Paz is the best silicone removal surgeon in Cali, Colombia imo. He performs these removals multiple times a day, weekly. I never thought I would have such a great butt after all that I went through with my silicone injections, but with God, faith and doctors like Dr. Diaz Paz miracles happen. And that is exactly what happened to me a miracle. I had butt implants with fat transfer, lipo, breast lift with implants and ab etching. Now I opted to do all these procedures at once which for me I found the recovery was very hard, only because I was unable to sleep on my front or back for a few days, I was only able to sleep on my side. But after 8 days I am feeling better and better. I was originally in a rental apartment for the first 6 days but for certain reasons I came to Vital Recovery House, which was the best decision I had made, the place is amazing, staff is wonderful and Diego the chef cooks you 3 delicious meals a day, so you never miss a meal. They wash hot faja, clothes and have 24 hour nurses to help you with anything you need. Their driver picks you up to and from the airport and takes you to all your doctor appointments and it's all included, best thing is the doctors office is literally 2 minutes away from the RH. My overall experience with Dr. Andres Diaz Felipe Paz has been an exceptional one, one filled with genuine care and honesty. He gave me the body of my dreams and I am so thankful for him and will be for the rest of my life. I recommend Dr. Paz to any woman suffering from silicone Injections, contact him, don't delay, you have nothing to lose and everything to gain. He is truly A GREAT DOCTOR..

3 weeks until surgery time!!!

Hello my Diaz Paz Barbies and future barbies!! Just wanted to update you ladies I am officially 3 weeks away from surgery with Dr. Andres Diaz Felipe Paz! Excited isn't the word to use I can't even sleep! Hahahha, I have booked everything, been taking my iron and vitamin C like I'm suppose to and I'm just ready to get Snatched to the Gawdssss lol.. Dr. Paz has been here for me every step of the way. He responds to me anytime I have a question or concern.. only thing I would advise women who have made the decision to travel to Colombia for surgery is to please be aware that there has been a new law just passed about 2 weeks ago. Prior to entering the country for surgery you just have a letter from your doctor in Colombia stating the surgery you will be having Ms the dates you will be in the country. Every doctor has been assigned a specific code to put on your letter when entering the country if you don't have this letter and they don't stamp your passport surgery then you will not be able to have surgery. This is a tactic to rid Colombia of the fake doctors who are not licensed or board certified from performing surgeries on patients from the US. Ladies this is a good thing. I will keep you ladies updated on the final chapter of my surgery journey.. love and light to all you beautiful ladies..

Provider Review

Dr. Andres Diaz Felipe Paz

I give Dr. Paz a 10 star! Had removal of injections with him in January and going for reconstruction with him in 5 more weeks, he is very professional, polished, caring, punctual and all around a perfectionist! His bed side manners are the best I've ever experienced. He genuinely cares for all of his patients..
