Dr. Shifrin is Nothing Short of Absolute Amazingness! Extremely Satisfied NYC Buttock Implant Patient Here!

FEELING SCAMMED AND AS IF I AM BEING ROBBED BY SHIFRIN PLASTIC SURGERY in Chicago, IL - experiencing major unprofessionalism with significant lack of communication before and (still) after the holidays with this group of people and Pryor Health in Rockford, IL. I have been requesting a refund for recent health concerns since late November 2025. My surgical procedure was scheduled for February 2, 2026. I understand that business concerning billing usually take time. However, ZERO COMMUNICATION does not instill any confidence that I will receive what is rightfully mine for health issues I cannot control. This is EXTREMELY overwhelming for me, especially with an out of state office and just beginning the new year. I’m seeking help and below is a more detailed version of my experience within the last 2 1/2 months.

I began preparing for my surgical procedure with Shifrin Plastic Surgery around late June early July/2025, and was scheduled to have surgery on February 02, 2026. After already investing a little over half of my quote, my physical health took an unexpected turn for the worse and I began rapidly losing weight for a procedure I initially wanted to gain weight for (aside from experiencing other current physical nerve damage issues). Just before the Thanksgiving holiday, on November 20, 2025, I received an email from the Shifrin Plastic Surgery team regarding the presurgical testing documents required to move forward with surgery, including their cancellation/refund policy which states a $500.00 forfeited amount for cancellations for 21 days or more in advance. During scheduling I was informed that my implants would be custom ordered about a month before surgery. However, by December 03, 2025, I had already informed the Shifrin Plastic Surgery team that I was requesting a refund for my scheduled procedure on February 01, 2026. By December 11, 2025, I was already forwarding the same request for a refund email to the office again. I began calling the Shifrin Plastic Surgery office often to ask questions and was always provided the same excuse about their only one billing employee that could assist me who was always "away from her desk", or "on a call", every time I called, conveniently. Or I was told that I would receive a call back, which I never did. I even asked for the corporate office information to follow up with refund/billing questions and Shifrin’s office refused to provide that information, as well. After phoning Shifrin Plastic Surgery again on Tuesday January 06, 2026, I was informed to call the office the next day (Wednesday) and that someone from the corporate office (Pryor Health) would be available to speak with me and answer any questions I had regarding my concerns, which I became very excited about and felt like I was finally making progress with this EXTREMELY stressful situation. The very next day, when I called, of course I was informed that the woman I needed to speak with was still traveling to the office and that I would receive a call before the end of the day. I did not receive a call at the end of the day (more excuses from the Shifrin Plastic Surgery team). However, I did receive an email Wednesday morning and once again raised my hopes of figuring I could at least express my concerns, including proper account information and details about my refund which no one discussed with me at all since my request in late November. It is late January and once again I have emailed, and re-emailed, and called, and left messages, to no avail and still facing a silence, first from Shifrin Plastic Surgery and this affiliated office, Pryor Health - this is beyond disturbing to me and the negative internal impact these businesses are causing me is not a good feeling at all. I am currently seeking any guidance and/or advice with this. Has anyone experienced this form of unjust treatment before?

Dr. Shifrin is nothing short of AMAZING, and has an excellent team of ladies to back him up!! My procedure was scheduled for October 26, 2021 with the lovely Jesenia. As time began to approach, I had everything booked and paid for. Once I arrived to Chicago, I checked in at the Hyatt Hotel and could not wait to begin this life-changing process.

I was scheduled to arrive at around 9am to fill out paperwork and was greeted by the lovely nurse Christine, who made me feel very comfortable throughout her explanation of the process coming up. Once I completed the necessary documents, the lovely nurse Connie, entered the waiting space I was waiting in to take pictures. As I continued to wait, I met (and began) talking to Dr. Shifrin - who was friendly, assuring, and confident within his abilities. He vibe was completely awesome and I trusted him even more from the moment I personally met him - I knew in my heart that I was in great hands!

As the rest of Dr. Shifrin's exceptional team continued to prepare me for surgery, Dr. Whiteley performed my IV, and made sure that I remained asleep. As I woke up from surgery, I remember cracking jokes with all the beautiful ladies in the office. Although I was not in pain once I got out of surgery, the healing process was major. Throughout the night, I kept switching from lying on my abdomen, to walking around the room, to get that bit of exercise in my legs. Ladies, you will swell a lot if you don't walk around. As the days went on, I began to feel the pain a bit more intensely. However, it was somewhat manageable, as I was never in excruciating pain (thanks to God).

Certain things were very difficult to do in the beginning, too. So, I do hope if *You* plan on experiencing this type of procedure, that you have someone with you that can assist with bathing, drain care, and getting comfortable clothes and footwear on you.

I am a month post op with 425cc buttock implants, and I must say that I feel great and love the look so far - every new day gets better. I will post before and after images soon.

I would like to thank Dr. Shifrin and his team for all they have done for me. I am super grateful and would most definitely feel confident enough to return to Dr. Shifrin for any other surgical procedures in the future.
