Revision & Recovery

I had my revision with Dr Stanton in California exactly 4 weeks ago today and I am feeling so much better!! (See my other review) but what Dr Stanton did was take them out of subfascial pocket and replace them behind the muscle - he said I had capsular contracture in the left side where I was having pain. Ever since replacing them, I’ve been off antibiotics and I’ve been feeling so much better.

Pain & Implant Outline
I haven’t updated because I stopped coming on here for a little bit. I really wanted to remain hopeful about my butt and honestly every time I would get on here it would make me super anxious. - since the last time I updated I have been experiencing a lot of pain. My implants
look super good when standing up but when I bend over they’re literally so noticeable. The pain started in my left butt cheek basically right after surgery but really progressed about 1 month post op. I went back to the dr and started antibiotics. It’s crazy bc the antibiotics literally took the pain away completely. I was really hopefully and was going to just try to deal with my butt (as I still don’t like the visibility when I bend over). But as soon as I stopped the antibiotics the pain came back. I went to the dr several times. One of those times he tried to pull fluid from the pocket out. There wasn’t even much he was able to pull out and what he did, was sent off to be cultured for infection and came back negative. So I have remained on the antibiotics the entire time.

oh no! were these placed intramuscular or subfascial?
I had thought they were intramuscular but they are not - they are subfascial. I had thought I discussed this with the dr during the consult and I honestly thought he told me they were being placed within the muscle. I had done my research before getting them and I was extremely afraid of them being visible as they were. :(
ugh that sucks! Im so sorry to hear that! Thats my biggest fear too :( hopefully your revision is better. I know Dr. Stanton only does intramuscular so youll look great!!
I had a consultation with him before for the same surface a few years ago and decided not to go with him bc he told me he'll use a breast implant and place it on top of my muscle , and he was trying to explain to me it would work but I was like no I rather not take the chance with him
