Removing the implant.. just righty

So my doctor and I decided that we should remove the right implant. It has been three months since I developed a seroma in my right buttock. It has left me with constant pain so we both feel like the best thing to do is to just take it out let it heal completely maybe insert another implant later or do some fat grafting. I do not blame Dr Williams for what happened.., sometimes these things just happen. I was healthy, and I did everything that I was supposed to do postoperatively and Dr. Williams is a good doctor. Sometimes these things just happen, .....please ladies if you are considering getting butt implants, I urge you to do your research and consider the pros and cons. If I were to do this again I would only do the Brazilian butt lift and leave out the implants, it has been a long hard recovery and I’m just ready to get back to normal, back to the gym.

So sorry to hear that it did not work out. Luckily you have the chance to remove before things got worse . I've been reading so much, considering a round 2 BBL, but I had such a scare that I m undecided. Good luck, wish you a speedy recovery. Please keep us posted. Your story can help many. Big hug

Thanks love, I’ve literally been crying all day. This has taken such a toll on me and I have a dent now where the implant was that I hope fills back out. I go back next week to remove the drain and talk about a fat transfer in the future. I plan to post pics as soon as I’m feeling better even though I don’t want anyone to see my lopsided butt right now. I’m trying to stay positive and just focus on healing. Ordered a prosthesis to wear until I can get the fat transfer.

Just updating pics and again having to write an essay so I can. Started draining from the old jp drain incision again. Ugh I just want to heal and I’m tired of having a leaky booty. Praying this heals soon so I can hit the gym and lose this weight I had to gain.

You look great. I’m almost 2 months with mine and still haven’t started to work out again. I’m not really liking mine, I may take them out.

Is it because they’re uncomfortable? I feel like I’m gonna be in pain forever! Getting discouraged

They aren’t uncomfortable at all, they just look awful when I bend over.

Gotcha! That’s why my ps made me get small implants then gain weight to transfer some fat to cover the implants better. Maybe just do some fat grafting?

I have zero fat but I’m trying to gain some currently.

I felt that way and now I truly don’t feel them at all. It was like magic from one week to the next. My surgery was 9/14

I did my BBL back in 2017. Unfortunately I let myself go and gained 40 lbs. My booty was huge along with everything else. 8 months ago I did the gastric sleeve. I have lost 56 lbs. My BBL is gone :'( . Now I'm trying to work out so I can tone up and get my glutes bigger . Do not rush to get to the gym. Allow yourself to heal properly. Swelling starts to decrease at 6 months PO. And you look great already

Thanks! I did do lightweight upper body yesterday and felt ok. I’m definitely not going to do any lower body for awhile. I’m scared to do cardio because it can cause swelling. I had no idea this recovery would be so long. Just gotta really eat healthy until I can fully work out.

Just got out of surgery to clean out the pocket and close up the incision. Woke up asking where the bleep I was at and the nurse says oh girl your high as a kite lol. Anyway it went well, they did cultures and came back negative for infection. They cleaned out the seroma and there was some fat necrosis in there too (from fat transfer) it’s a oily liquid from the fat that didn’t survive. Gross. Hopefully this will fix things and I can finally heal! So looking forward to getting back into shape. No more surgery ever.... until I need a face lift lol

The pictures are absolutely amazing!! Not even a full month and already looks great. I said the same for me!! No more surgeries!!! Let see how long that lasts, lol. It's great the doctor immediately went in and cleaned out. I should have done the same. I've lost 15 lbs since my fat transfer, my butt got smaller and that hard lump, which Now I think is fat necrosis is hurting big time.

I’m sorry, I know how frustrating that must be. This whole process of healing is a very mentally exhausting one. I know my butt will get smaller as I loose the weight so I’m prepared for that at least. I have read they can excise the hardened fat necrosis so maybe that’s an option for you. Have you talked to your surgeon?

He originally had injected it with something to break it down. And of course it stopped bothering me a much. Then I gained weight, 40 lbs to be exact!! I know! Shame on me! My butt got bigger and the hard lump wasn't bothering me anymore. I decided o do the gastric sleeve, I've lost 54 lbs and the lump is still there and now it hurts again. I am so prone to catching infections that now I am scared.
