Butt Implant Removal

WORTH IT$5,500
I’ve had butt implants since 2016 and never really needed them but wanted the dramatic fake look so I got them done in Beverly Hills size 600 cc implants, huge, way to big for my petite self at the time 5’1 115 lbs, although the dr gave me what I wanted and did a great job I never had any complications with the implants besides the left side would be uncomfortable from time to time and didn’t seem to drop all the way. Fast forward I 2020 I had another baby gained a good 45lbs and decided it’s time to get them taken out and was easier to do it in my home town. I researched many drs and a lot did not want to touch them to take them out, until I found Dr. Sumida on RealSelf and went to a consult with him and loved him and his staff, they made me feel welcome and comfortable with the whole process. I was extremely nervous about surgery the day of which was just this past Thursday but everything went well. I am a bit sore and it’s hard to sit but it’s only been a few days and can’t wear to be fully recovered, I already feel an immediate relief of not having the implants in there and would greatly recommend anyone to see Dr. Sumida if they want there butt implants removed.

This is 3 days after the butt implant removal still feels weird back there and to sit down, not 100% done healing. I have a post op appointment this Friday with the Dr to see if everything is okay. Seems to be going well but I can’t wait to be completely healed.

So I definitely have the same amount of volume on the majority and bottom of my butt checks and it looks pretty normal overall in clothes but I feel like I need a fat transfer to fill in the top half of my butt from the implants being so big. My dr suggested waiting at least 6 months to completely heal before he will do a BBL so I have one scheduled with him March of next year. I definitely feel relieved getting then taken out and upset with myself for even getting them in the first place as I didn’t need them but wanted that fake look.

Hopefully it starts to look better as the days go by. The gym will help too.

I’m so happy u make this choice I’m doing mines on the 9th of July did they put for u drains ?
June 26, 2021
No drains, the dr said he only uses them if you bleed a lot during surgery. I went to my post op yesterday and he told me to be patient the part of my butt that I think looks a little sunk is if from the previous pocket made for the implant that it will take better shape in time, so hopefully.

Your butt looks great post implant removal! I found my butt more "meaty" at first but then I was left with other complications due to the surgeon over dissecting my butt. Which obviously you wont have.
Im in need of reconstructive surgery now.
But on the whole i think you will have a great recovery!

Thank you, so far so good. The deflated part on my left cheek has also improved a lot.

I’m left deformed from Dr. J. Franco placing too large of implants under fascia. I went in to have my smaller implants (in muscle) exchanged for larger implants with fat transfer. Over $15k down the drain. After healing, I noticed that my butt was hard. It hurt a bit. Went to a different PS and he confirmed that the implants were too large for my frame and were just under my skin and to be very cautious. Scared to do anything, depression set in. Within two years, my implants dropped and I could cup them. I would have to lie on my side as the pain was unbearable. Sitting became harder as the pain would cause sciatic issues. I finally had the implants removed and now I have no volume where the implants were. I was not able to get new implants because of Dr. J. Franco placing the larger ones above my muscle (squashing them to pancakes) and making it dangerous to place another implant. I cried for days and every so often. I used to model and now I cannot. I pray I can have fat transferred to the area. I’ll find out in November as the doctor who did the explant wants me completely healed before performing a sonogram to see if fat can be transferred. I pray a lot. Thank you for your story.

You are looking so good wow! I'm scheduled for removal this month. Cant wait. Do you have a IG page?
July 7, 2021
Good luck with it you’ll do great. I do but I don’t have any pics of my surgeries on it, sry.

July 9, 2021
No worries. My IG is thebubbleimplant
May I ask if the surgeon removed the capsule? Your butt has great volume post explant.
July 9, 2021
I’m not sure what is the capsule? I only know the implants were under the muscle he said he removed them and then cleaned inside to make sure there would not be an infection after removal. thank you I was very worried it would look saggy or deformed but it actually is a little swollen still but pretty much is just as big without the implants

July 9, 2021
The capsule is the tissue that forms around the implant as a natural response of our body.
So you didn't loose any size? Wow, That's great. I had read that in another review
July 9, 2021
I front believe he did anything with the tissue around it, at first it did look sunk in where the implant was but surprisingly about 2 weeks after the removal it went back to normal, I did gain about 40lbs after my initial surgery of getting the implants as well so that may have helped add the weig back there too.
July 20, 2021
No he didn’t remove any of the capsule I think that’s why it’s still so big honestly I know it must be swollen cause it’s bigger than it was with the implants

July 20, 2021
Wow that's great though . I'm almost 1 week post removal. Still big and round but not as big as when I had the implants in. I'm very swollen too.
July 20, 2021
Do you also feel sore when sitting? I’m almost 5 weeks post op and still don’t feel 100% back to normal.

July 22, 2021
My right side is 90% back to normal, however my left side is still in pain. I'm pretty sure Stanton did something wrong or damaged my sciatic nerve because I never had such pain before him. I'm just going to be patient with my recovery I guess
July 22, 2021
Yes me as well, it’s been 5 weeks today and I’m feeling much better still a little sore when sitting for too long but so much better and relieved with them out
August 27, 2021
Hello, I removed mine a week ago, but was told not to sit for 3weeks due to the incisions. So my question is, did you have to wait that long to sit? I have no pain I've been up and about, my butt looks great unlike the first day it looked deflated. I feel free now. :)
