1 month after removal
So it's been a month and I'm still happy with my decision! I went back to work 2 weeks after surgery but I still can't sit directly on my butt or workout just yet. I have to sit on the BBL pillow to avoid putting pressure on the butt. I go back for my last follow up on Aug 10th to discuss whether or not I want to do a BBL. I feel like I still have a big butt, just not as big as before the surgery. I do want lipo to achieve more of an hourglass shape and maybe a lift as I do feel like my butt looks a bit droopy with no clothes on. The worst part of the surgery were the drains! Lol! I was so miserable! They were itchy and sometimes I couldn't sleep because of the itchiness! It was that bad! I did have a dry patch of skin around where the drains were (I guess from the dressing) so put Neosporin on it to clear it up but I now have a dark area as you can see in some of my pictures. I started using the scar fading cream so hopefully it'll lighten up. I'll keep yall posted after my follow-up!
Implant removal
I hope these pictures will help someone make their decision on whether or not to remove their implants. I'm so glad I decided to remove them despite of my fears on how my butt may look after removal. I kept picturing a deflated basketball and skin flapping down to my legs but it's not like that at all as you can see. It's now been 5 days since I removed them and I'm having no pain (i never really had pain, just soreness). I've been up and walking around since right after surgery. The only thing I hate is that I have these drains, I can't sit or get all cute and step out lol!
Butt Implant Removed...best Thing EVER!
I got butt implants in 2011 and I never liked them. It was too hard, uncomfortable sitting on them (felt like I was sitting on basketballs) and you can see the outline when I bend over. I couldn't even comfortably lay on my back or do sit-ups because I was high up. I decided to go with Dr. Franco in Austin because he had great reviews. I met up with him in June 2018 and he went over everything with me, listen to my concerns and I didn't feel like I was being rushed. Him and his staff were so friendly! I had to do another consultation in March 2019 because I waited too long to schedule the surgery. Same thing.. He went over my concerns, explained everything to me and made sure all of my questions were answered before leaving the office. The patient coordinator, Lindsey, is great! She took care of all the paperwork, answered all my emails in a timely manner and she's super sweet! I was really nervous about how my butt would look after getting them removed but they kept reassuring that I would be ok and that it'll turn out fine. Since I went with the largest size implant (placed over the muscle) and had them in for almost 8 years, i just kept picturing my butt saggy, deflated and having loose skin flapping on my legs. I know that sounds silly but I was terrified. It actually doesn't look that bad. It's still big and kinda swollen and there is a small dent with dimples but I can Deal with that. I'm wearing this compression garment that's holding everything in so my butt actually looks great with that on. Dr. Franco said to wait 2 months or so to let it smooth out and wait 6 months to see if i need a BBL. As of right now, he doesn't think I need one. I do want more of an hourglass shape so I may still get a BBL but I definitely don't want a big butt anymore. I'm feeling great, I'm walking around with no problems, I barely had pain and I hope to return to work late next week. Good luck to those who is thinking about getting their implants removed! I'm so glad I did it.. I feel free lol!
