Dual Plane Breast Augmentation with Silicone Implants - Burnsville, MN

I had always been small chested so I had always anticipated having breast implants at some point in my life. Even while nursing my babies I only managed to get to a size 36B!! That being said, after 2 pregnancies and 2 breast fed babies, the time had come! I was a 34 (almost) A and was really noticing some drooping. My breasts were also quite "uneven". I had several friends who had gotten breast implants and were extremely happy with the results. Hearing their stories and seeing their breasts was a real motivator for me to start the process. I had heard of several plastic surgeons and did do some research on them. However, one day while I was doing some research online, I came across Dr. Gryskiewicz's name. I started looking at his before and after photos and I was really impressed with his work. After talking it all over with my awesome husband, I gave Dr. Joe's office a call to set up a consultation. I received Dr.Joe's book, "Your Body, Your Beauty, Your Safety" in the mail a few days later. It was an excellent book! It provided many before and after pictures as well as superior advice for things to think about before having plastic surgery. This book really impressed me and I was really anxious to have my appointment! My appointment was in the end of February 2015 and it was great! I had my appointment at Dr. Joe's Burnsville office. His staff was exceptional! I met with Amber, a cosmetologist, first. She asked me about my expectations for surgery and what exactly I wanted to have done. She provided me with lots of information about implants themselves and also about the surgery. She took my pictures, and then I waited to meet Dr.Joe. I honestly had not really anticipated needing a lift because I simply felt I didn't have enough there, but after Dr.Joe took measurements (and had me hold a pink piece of paper under my breast!) he explained I would really have a better result if I had a Dual Plane Augmentation with the implants (I chose silicone). He explained that it would really lift my breast tissue to surround the implant, and give me a nice natural, young looking breast!! I agreed with him of course!! After our discussion, I met with Amber again to try different size implants on in a bra. We did decide that my left implant needed to be larger than my right by 25cc, just to even out my breasts a bit. After I had tried a few different sizes, I decided on a 325cc implant for my right breast and a 350cc implant for the left. Before my appointment was over, I had the opportunity to meet with Dr. Joe again in his office and ask any other questions I had. I was so completely comfortable and impressed with Dr.Joe's knowledge, compassion, and confidence, that I decided to schedule my surgery before I left that day. I scheduled my surgery for March 16, 2015...it was just over 2 weeks away!! I was thrilled!! On the morning of my surgery (at Minnesota Valley Surgery Center), I checked in at 6am, and was almost immediately brought to my room where the nurse checked me in and started my IV. She brought my husband back shortly and then we met with the Anesthesiologist and with Dr. Joe. He made some marks on my chest, answered last minute questions, and shortly thereafter, I was walking to the operating room. I don't remember much after that until I woke up. I wasn't in any pain and I really just wanted some coffee!! I do remember my husband and I taking a "peek" and thinking "WOW, I HAVE BREASTS!!!" We left the surgery center probably by 10am and headed home. I did take a pain pill before we left, but I really didn't feel too bad! When we got home I did rest for the remainder of the day with ice packs on my breasts. I also took Tylenol #3 that first day. By the next morning I decided to switch to just plain Tylenol and it really took care of any pain I had. My breasts did feel very "full" and "tight", but I was reassured that this feeling would go away in time as my new breasts "settled". We have two young boys at home and I had no difficulty taking care of them or our home. I did go back to work in 5 days. This was an amazing experience from the very beginning! Dr.Joe has amazing staff who work with him... very caring, and made me feel very comfortable. The surgery center and staff were also excellent. It was a very nice facility and I received great surgical care from them. And Dr. Joe... he is very smart and very educated and he is also very gifted. He is an artist. He impressed me with his kindness, compassion, and confidence, and I am SO pleased and impressed with my result. My breasts are much softer now (about 8 weeks post-op) and have really settled. They feel completely natural and look fabulous! I am so happy with them! And as one last note... so is my husband:)
