I had Thermage four days ago after a liposuction treatment and am trying to figure out if my current state is normal.
It doesn’t hurt currently (while it did during the procedure), however I am covered in red marks, maybe burns? Really I’m just panicking that these will scar and my torso will be destroyed.
I’ve been putting neosporin on it per my plastic surgeons advise but am wondering what else I can do to help it heal faster/without scarring.
Fingers crossed this is as non-concerning as my doc thinks and that no scars will remain.
I’ll update in a month.

I've had thermage and thats not usual. I highly doubt that your scars will be lifetime. Did you have a bodysuit on that allows it to glide over your stomach easier? It looks to me like she went straight on your skin with no barrier.

Vet here < how long after lipo ? they should’ve done jplasma with your lipo. Thermage can’t be done 1st 6-8 weeks after lipo . Not only is your skin healing your “double damaging” your tissue

She did do it directly on my skin, and it was done immediately after they finished lipo. The scars are still there, just less prominent :(

That is NOT normal. I’ve had thermage three times and have never had burn marks. They used an off-brand wand head or had the setting way too high. I just had thermage done on my jaw on Friday and there is not one mark. I would not go to these people again.

Don’t use neosporin! Use regular petroleum jelly. There’s no need to put an antibiotic cream where there’s no infection. That can just cause more irritation. And no, it’s not ‘normal’. It is a rare side effect, but your provider couldn’t have followed protocol correctly, otherwise burning wouldn’t happen.
