Whew, where to start?
I have struggled with my weight ever since having my daughter 10 years ago. There have been so many bumps in the road; including a car accident that caused me to stop exercising and to therefore put on weight again. Through immense effort (once I felt healed enough), physio and my own exercise and eating healthy, I had lost about 30lbs... Only to gain back that and then-some thanks to antidepressants. I have been very slowly chipping away at the weight again but feel that I need extra motivation and help at this point. My belly skin is stretched so that even when I do lose weight, it looks poochy. I also look pregnant if I'm not sucking in my belly (which is very prominent right now). :(
Well, no more!
I'm currently at 160lbs and my goal weight is around 140lbs (the weight I was maintaining before all the nonsense from the accident and depression). I've decided to give myself a much needed boost in confidence and will be undergoing a full tummy-tuck procedure with some lipo. I will also be getting lipo between the chin & neck area as it's a stubborn area for me that never seems to get better even when I'm at my slimmest.
My hope is basically that this procedure will give me my hourglass figure back, and a flat tummy. Even if I don't manage to meet my weight goals, I would like to be happy with what I see in the mirror, or when I put on a bathing suit. I've heard a lot of digging comments about my body in the last few years, and I'd like to get to the point where I can fly "under the radar" so to speak.
I've actually moved my surgery from October 23rd to the 16th so that I can enjoy Halloween with my daughter and be able to play the expansion of my favorite game that's coming out on the 23rd. You know... because... priorities. Since my surgery is still over a week out, I'll just be uploading my 'before' pictures for now. :)

Thank you! It's now just one more day before I join you on the flat side! :D I will be getting before and after pics taken by the doc (or staff) as well and will be posting those along with whatever progress I make in the coming weeks. I'm very excited! But also very sensitive. I can't seem to stop crying today.
I really hope it all goes well! And I hope that your recovery is going as smoothly as possible too! :)

I had my surgery starting around 8 or 8:30 this morning and was discharged 3:30 PM. I was drowsy but otherwise good. The staff was super nice and I love them :D
I am having a hard time staying in one place. I lie down, watch some TV, doze off, then get up and check facebook becase my eyes can't focus on my iphone screen XD I'm not so much in pain (except for the incisions in my skin which feel sharp and burning. my abdominal muscles though feel really... is bruised the right word? Feels like I got hit my a small truck right in the abs. They feel tight finally, and I still think this was totally worth it. I'm getting some small muscle spasms over (or below?) my ribcage which isn't comfortable. Getting in and out of bed without help isn't possible, neither is getting into it, or the 0-G chair. But once I'm in it's good.
It's not comfortable to sit for long so I'm going to stop here and update later. :)

It has been 4 days since my surgery and I feel tiny. I think they did a great job with the muscle repair. I get in to see my ps this afternoon to remove the pain pump and review my results & rate of healing (etc). I'm very nervous about the pump, I think I tugged on the tubes last night and irritated the site of entry. I've also been getting up frequently so I hope I haven't done any damage. I haven't seen my incision yet (or my belly button for that matter). I'm probably going to try to squeeze in one more nap before the appointment. Attaching pictures. I'm quite swollen and not ready to take off the pressure garment yet.

Hey, which doctor did you have this done with? Huge difference even with the binder. I'm seeing Dr. Oxley in Surrey in Dec.

I went with Dr Ross Horton. I'm still very swollen and there is extra padding under the pressure garment (about an inch thick foam type stuff and bandages) so these pictures don't even do the result justice. :)
You could get referred to him and he does free consults.

I guess it's technically the 3rd day since surgery if we're not counting the day of the surgery itself. The weekend was pretty brutal but there is so much improvement already. :)
Please update us often so we know how everything is going. One more week to go!
