Today I noticed I am less sore when reaching out for things and moving around in general. I was able to get out of bed without a lot of awkward maneuvering. Sneezing and coughing is still painful, but not tearful. Still have my drains and I'm thinking of naming them. Really down that I am still draining too much to have them removed just yet. I did go out today and purchased a cute maxi dress to wear that will cover my CG well. That made me smile :)
Not enough discomfort to take more than Tylenol. Happy about that for sure! I am really wanting to wear panties and clothes without drains hanging off me! Overall very happy about everything so far!

I removed my CG today and viewed my results! I have seen my tummy when Dr Polavarapu looks at it but not full on while standing. I have some bruising but it's already faded to the green/yellow stage. My belly button Is healing very well and I must say, I am impressed! I can't wait to wear a pretty fitted sundress! Ive been "shopping" off Pinterest!

Helpful Hint:

I had been sleeping in the recliner until cleared to sleep in my bed at my post op appt. That was post op day 5, however I don't think I was really as ready as I though I was. I think that is part of what made me have a bad day yesterday. I couldn't get comfortable in the bed and didn't rest well at all. Last night I slept in the bed and it was so much better. It was just an adjustment to get the pillows and everything just right. Also, our bed is pretty high. So we put a good sturdy stool with a handle on it beside the bed so I have something to hold onto to aid myself getting into and out of the bed. It really helped! I turn to my side and use my arms to raise myself to sitting. The stool gives me an extra bar to hold onto with my other hand.

I met Dr Polavarapu and imediatly felt comfortable and confident. She and her staff could not have been any better. They are friendly and professional. When I consulted with other doctors they brought in a camera to the consultation. Personally I do not want my naked pictures in 4 different surgeons files. Dr Polavarapu waits until the appropriate time, before surgery to take pictures. She offered to meet with me anytime I thought of new questions or concerns. She understands her patients needs and goes above and beyond to accommodate and reassure. I am so thankful to have her as my plastic surgeon!
