At 58 years of age with my children grown I still felt energetic and was happy with life. It was surprising to look into the mirror and see an older and somewhat cranky person staring back. My eyelids were making my eyes look small and squinty and my ageing forehead gave me a cross look. My neck looked like I was wearing a little turtleneck of skin!
I have known of Dr Orloff for years and finally came in for a consult. He was friendly and professional, patiently answering all of my questions. I didn't feel hurried. He actually sat down to speak to me. He prepared me for what I might expect after surgery. My husband was concerned that I would have that "surprised" look and Dr. was able to address that to my satisfaction. (The proof is in the pudding; I do not look surprised).
On the day of surgery I was a little nervous but was soon put at ease by the kind and caring staff. From the staff that greeted me as I came in; Rebecca, Rosemary, and Ani, to Gema who was beside me the whole surgery, to the nurse Paula who cared for me as I woke up, I felt the whole experience was so positive!
Dr. Blanka Orloff has a magical touch with anesthesia. After a long surgery and therefore a long anesthesia, I woke up pain free with no sore throat and was able to go home that night. My husband was well prepared for taking care of me that night as he had been given good instructions by Dr. Blanka and Paula.
In the weeks before the surgery I was given an instruction packet, nutritional advice, vitamins and supplements to support healing. A good diet and exercise were discussed and encouraged.
I am very happy with my results. I still look like me, just fresher. I look rested and, dare I say it? Younger! I feel I was more than just a face at Burbank Plastic Surgery.
