I have always had a tummy. When I was young and thin (5'7", 120 - 130lbs), the one thing I always had was a soft tummy. As I got older and put on weight (now mid 40s and 160 lbs) my full middle became a source of real frustration for me. It also affects how clothes fit me -- often tight in the waistline. It's the first place weight goes and the last place it leaves. My husband is very unnerved by surgery in general and the associated risks. Out of respect, for a "unnecessary" cosmetic procedure, I decided to look into CoolSculpting as it is safe and non-invasive.
I did the CoolMini on my chin as well, so if you are interested please check out my separate review of that.

Please . You should have spend your money and get a bbl or lipo instead. I spent over $4000 on this and after four months, all the fat enlarged and came back. Don't do it!

The Process
On Thursday, I went in to start the process on my abdomen. I had two large applicators on the lower part of the front of my tummy. The next day, I had two small applicators applied to each side of my flanks , one in front and one in back (four small in total).
My applications were done one at a time, but I know some places offer multiples at the same time if they have more machines. I didn't worry about this taking a little more time. I actually found it quite relaxing, chilling out on my phone and catching up on work.
The process was really not as painful as I expected. It was actually quite easy with a just little discomfort here and there.
First, we did "before" pictures, documenting my mid-section all the way around. Then, she marked up the area for correct placement. The applicator is placed while you are standing. Then you ease onto the bed so as not to undermine the suction.
Before the applicator is put in place, she put a pad covered in protective gel over the area. It is COLD! But like jumping in a pool, that shock eases very quickly. Then she placed the applicator, it sucks up the fatty area like a vacuum. This is a little bit pinchy, but not unbearable. Then she turned on the cooling. The area numbs fairly quickly so it's really not uncomfortable.
The massage after removal is a little tough, but again, not that bad. It goes by quickly.
Then, on to the next section!
