No regrets when I'm older for not doing this at a younger age.
I'm ready, a little nervous, but looking forward to brighter and younger looking eyes.
I appreciate everyone's reviews as they have been extremely helpful and reassuring and given me more knowledge going into this surgery.

Please note the cost is Australian dollars

Does the one lid have ptosis?
November 15, 2014
Hi Jade, I don't think so. The drooping has slowly gotten worse over the years but I can see fine I just have that fold of skin that comes down.

That is the way mine started and one Dr. said I just needed a upper bleph but when I went to a Oculoplastic he said it was ptosis.

Good luck!  I can't wait to hear how it goes :)

Good luck with your operation, you won't regret it, as I have said I wish I had done it many years earlier my top eyelids feel so much lighter and my vision has improved as well everything seems brighter!

thank you :) Excited now, not nervous, but the drive there may make me nervous in the morning.

Hi, I have looked at your Picture and think that you need a bleharoplasty. I'm sure you will have very young eyes. You have really beautiful eyes and atfer the surgery they will look more beautiful. I had a lower and upper blepharoplasty 5 weeks ago but unfortunately I have a problem about my left lower lid. I can not close my eye properly. My surgeon said your muscle is weak for now but it will be better with time. I hope it will pass and I have normal eye as time passes but not sure yet. Please read about especially lower eyelid blepharoplasty and talk about it with your surgeon. Good luck :)

yes thank you. My surgery is tomorrow morning. I am not having lower bleharoplasty done, just upper. My aim is to have eyelids and I know they wont be exactly the same as my eyes are different shapes. I hope your eyes keep healing up for you and improving with time and you are happy with your results.

6 weeks tomorrow since mine and my right eyelid closed darkness wise but water went into it in the shower but in the last 3-4 days does not let in much water and seems to be on the mend so hopefully yours will also

All done!

Well it's been around 9 hrs since I came out of surgery. I have had no pain, I have a minor headache but thinking it's due to lack of sleep. My eyes are blurry but sometimes I can make things out, this is due to the ointment in my eyes.
Bruising is starting on my outer stitches. They say the next day is worse with bruising and swelling so I have that to look forward to. But so far if my final results are like my straight after results then I am very very happy!!!!!

To today is day two. I am feeling great apart from the slight headache I have behind my eyebrows and back of head. My body Is aching from sleeping sitting up, so uncomfortable. Still no pain, just that slight dull headache. More bruising and swelling, this is suspose to be my worse day as I have heard.
Still icing and applying my cream to my stitures

Hi! Congratulations on your surgery! Your eyes look great! I am surprised that you've had such minimal bruising or swelling. Did you do anything to prevent that? Other than sleep sitting up? I'm scheduled for my upper lid surgery on Dec. 15 (10 days before Christmas) and am worried about taking pics for our New Year family photo! Any suggestions on what I can do to prevent swelling and bruising would be so appreciated! Thank you!

I have more yellow bruising under my eyes now. But I think bruising is based on how much you bleed during surgery and how much fat/muscle is removed. I forgot to ask this before I came home, but during my consults my surgeon said he didn't think I needed any fat removed, mainly just skin. I also iced regularly and for long periods during the first 24hrs. I am however a fit and active person and I eat very healthy. I have also read that salt adds to swelling and I am sleeping sitting up, which is very uncomfortable and I am over it!!!!
