7th day. Removed Stitches and gauze

Went in to remove the gauze today. Not sure if I'm very happy with the overall appearance.

I feel like it improved but wanted it to be reduced more. Bottom of the ear is still long, it's just cut and attached on the inside. Think I'm expecting it to be nearly as exact as I want it, after spending so much money.

I'll give it a week but I did brought it up to him and I'll mention it again next follow up.

I came to Thailand with the intentions on having Rhinoplasty and/or earlobe reduction surgery. Held off on the nose part. Why Thailand? I'm from the United States, but living overseas temorarily; I was going to wait to have it done in the USA, but I rather knock it out while I have the the vacation time (plus I got flight on sale :). I was quoted less to have the procedure done in the US, so I was a bit hesitant.

I contacted several hospitals/doctors (Dr. Pichet, KLook, Dr. Tanongsak, Dr. Montien, Phuket hospital, Dr. Kunachak, and a couple others). I went with the one who had the best response time and answered what I feel made sense. I'm sure others are excellent doctors who are busy, but if I'm making this trip, I want to know the courtesy is spent on making some effort to go over details via email or phone.

When I had my consultation (yesterday), I was very detailed and so was the doctor - have to be precise with these things. Surgery was scheduled for 3pm - nurse said to show up at 10am!!! It literally took about an hour to finish all paperwork and check blood pressure, so from 1120am to 1pm I was bored (thank you iPhone for keeping me company). At 1pm, I filled another paperwork (took a whopping 5 minutes). Went to operating holding area about 1:30pm, until 3pm when the doctor arrived for a final consultation.

I had the surgery done 12 hours ago - there was no pain. Injecting the local anaesthics was what hurt the most. He took about 40 minutes for each ear. Before sewing up the first ear, I was able to look at it in the mirror and made a slight adjustment. He cut the inside lobe area and attached it to my cheek. My earlobes are not only wide, but they're pretty long, like the Buddah statue lol.

A few hours later at the hotel, it's definitely a constant pain - not unbearable. I popped the antibiotics and tylenol. It's 3am here now, and the pain isnt as bad as earlier, but it's still constant. I'll rest it off after this post.
