48 YO Upper and Lower Blepharoplasty - Time to get the bags and droop gone!
Very excited to begin my journey! Have already...
My goals are simple, and I hope realistic. To get better vision. To reduce the puffiness and heavy, baggy skin of my upper eyelids so that I am able to open my eyes fully and in a relaxed vs. forced state. For the lower bleph, I hope to reduce under eye bags and possibly the dark veining/hollowed look a bit.
I am 58 lbs. down from where I was 2 years ago and still actively reducing my overall weight. This is the first of a few procedures that I want to undertake as I reach my physical goals. Wish me luck!

Headaches and severe eye strain
Can't wait for surgery! I am very excited that this cycle of strain and pain may be coming to an end.

I had my eyelid surgery in 2014 and not a single headache since! Also I hadn’t realised how much the eyelids were affecting my peripheral vision, I can now see and no longer literally strain to keep my eyes open! It is wonderful, you will be amazed....it really makes quite a remarkable difference.
48 Years - Post 80 Lb+ Weight Loss - Losing the Eye Bags and Hound Dog Look!!
First, let me say that I have wanted to do this for a few years now. My eyes have always been sort of heavy-lidded, even when I was quite young. People would accuse me of being asleep when I was relaxed and looking downward, like when I was watching television. It bothered me, but wasn't really a big deal.
It didn''t become a real problem for me until recently. I have undergone pretty significant weight loss recently and, simultaneously, lost a lot of volume in my face and around me temples and eyes. Now my eyes look hollowed out and I have enormous bags! Very crinkly and very aging. Even worse, I had a study done and my visual field is being blocked up to 25% by my upper eyelids--not good when you're a commercial artist by trade.
So, I saved. Now I'm all paid and ready to go on April 24th -- wish me luck! My one last hurdle is getting medical clearance for the surgery. Though it's relatively minor and requires only deep sedation vs. general anesthesia (at least with my doc), I do have mild asthma and am not as young and healthy as I used to be! I go to my doc on Monday for the final approval and then we'll be good to go. Fingers crossed that fate isn't feeling fickle this week.
In the mean time, I've gotten together my post-surgery supplies. Vitamins, vitamin E cream, Arnica, cold pack eye masks, etc.

I AM SO EXCITED!!!!
I'm posting some 'before' pics with and without makeup from various bad angles in poor light, but they're what I've got :)
You will be amazed at the difference it makes to your vision......I was getting headaches through straining my eyes open, not one headache since surgery. X
