10 weeks already! New weird spot

Buffalo8183
WORTH IT$6,000
First, still so glad I did this!! I know it was the right choice for me.
That said, I thought the longer term part of the healing wouldn't “really” last this long, it was just something people said to “expect”. I still wake up and immediately notice my boobs are still sort of ouchy.
I'm so ready for the next phase and to be completely healed!
Now, I have developed a new weird spot and am so nervous it’s going to openback up. I saw that happened to some people, but I’ve been healing so well I was thinking I’m past it because my scars looked completely closed.
Well while massaging a few days ago, I felt a bump, a sore spot right next to my largest scarred area in the t-spot where the final scab was. It now feels soft, and is peeling and red around it. l almost looks like a blood vessel underneath. Anyone have anything similar?

Yeah. It takes long. I keep feeling weird about still having tenderness in my breasts, after all they look all healed up on the outside, right? But they're still tender on the inside in places. Just nobody can see that. Every week it gets a little better though, so hang in there! I don't know about that spot, you could always put a dab of neosporin on it if you're concerned, could it be a stitch coming out? Hard to tell from photo.

I’m 10 weeks out tomorrow and it’s definitely a roller coaster. But like Zandrina said, it’s gets better everyday. I’m still tender is some spots and totally numb in others. thank goodness the hyper sensitivity in certain spots is finally starting to subside. As for your spot, has it healed any more? Maybe take a clear photo and send to your doc and see what they say? Hope you feel better soon. All else looks great!!

Interesting, I am only 8-days out of surgery and nothing is numb. I'm very active, did not take off from work. Pain in nominal and regular Tylenol does the trick. My nipples are alive and very sensitive and so are the surrounding areas.

Hello and thanks for sharing your journey. It has ben at least 3 months since you posted any updates. I am 1-week out ho is your healing going? How did your doctor treat you "weird spot"? Are you happy with your decision to have surgery?
April 26, 2018
The weird spot went away, just internal stitches doing their “thing” I guess! I am soooo sooooo sooooo happy I had the surgery. It is life changing for me. I've been on vacation wearing "normal" bathing suit tops, eliminated the sweaty boob rashes, started running again...I just feel so much better. Now, the healing really does take awhile. I still have some weird areas of numbness but compared to what I used to suffer....so worth it! Are my boobs perfectly symmetrical and perfect? Nope, thy droop a little more to the outside than I wish they did...but I don't even care. So happy. My daily life is better every time I put on that 40b bra and run along on my merry way :). Best of luck in your healing!

That is awesome. I'm happy for you. The body goes through daily changes during the healing process. I'm in the midst of a BBL and BL and every day is a new discovery. Many thanks to you for sharing your story.

Week 7: patience patience patience

Buffalo8183
Well apparently week 6 flew right by without me posting an update! My boobs are starting to really shape and form into something softer feeling and more “normal”.
The patience comes in with wanting them to just finish coming into their own, becoming tired of having to do scars massages and still not sleeping 100% comfortably on my sides.
So patience, patience, patience is my mantra this week. I'll report back with any new developments and to keep proving updates for people looking to get this surgery.
Worth it!!!!!!

Wow! You are looking great! I personally wouldn't worry about them being close together and not separated. They are looking amazing. But, it is your body and everyone has different preferences. From an outside perspective, you're looking really good. Crazy how over a span of weeks out breasts can change soooo much. Happy healing.

You are doing absolutely amazing! Recovery is so fast, but it feels so slow. I’m only a week and a half ahead of you or so and that hardness was really wearing on me too! I could not wait until the hardness was gone. Now outside of my feel great and I have lots of movement in them which is so much more relaxing on my mind and body. Just know that in a week or two they’ll be softer!

How is your range of motion?

Thank you for sharing! I had a consultation with dr anain in November and just got approved for surgery! Would you mind if I message you to ask a few questions? Thanks!

Not at all! I knew someone who got theirs in July and I asked her a lot! Happy to pay forward! I will try to remember to check in here more frequently in case you message me. :)

I had the same concern and at 10 weeks, mine are starting to separate. I guess it was swelling? I feel like every time I look in the mirror they’re totally changing-even several months post op. Still so surreal.

Week 5 turned the corner!

Buffalo8183
Feeling so much more "normal" like I can do more things without help! The dr has released me to do "what I feel I can, but ease in" and I don't see her again until Feb. then we can discuss my cleavage seeming too close and possibly begun underwire bras!
Still having numbness under one arm and one the opposite boob. Weird to shave when your armpit is numb but still also hurts. The other feeling is like stitches trying to escape - ouch!
I took pictures the last 2 weeks at a lower angle to show how my boobs are dropping first more on the outside, and may also be swollen from doing more. Hope these updates are helping People out there trying to prepare! Worth it 100%.
