Before pictures

Here are some before pictures and pictures of the fat pads. I thought I remember my doctor saying they were larger than average — close to 6 ccs?

2 week update

It’s been two weeks since my buccal fat removal and FaceTite.
I mostly look like I did before the procedure. I went back to my normal diet after a week and aside from my cheeks being somewhat numb and the sutures inside my mouth not falling out yet, I’m fully recovered. I’m wearing my compress for about 12 hours a day.
I have another check in with my doctor in 12 days (near the one month mark) so hoping I can see some early signs of changes by then.

Buccal fat removal and FaceTite went smoothly

Wanting to capture my thoughts as I'm recovering so I don't forget anything. I'm about an hour out of surgery so sorry, no pictures to share yet.

I'm a 29 year old male and got buccal fat removal and FaceTite (which included liposuction). I have a normal weight but my face has always been bottom heavy. I got 5 consults and all five recommended buccal fat removal.

Overall the procedure went really smoothly. I was worried and seriously thought I'd back out. But it was fine. I had local anesthesia and the pain/discomfort peaked at a 3/10 but even that lasted for only a few seconds. There's obviously some tugging involved but it's not painful.

I'm not in any pain but I'm also on prescription painkillers. My speech is a little off and my cheeks are extremely swollen. I don't *feel* particularly limited in what I can eat but I'm about to put that to the test with sushi.

Anyway, I expect it to get worse before it gets better so I'll keep posting updates and pictures a few weeks down the road.
