Buccal fat removal and chin lipo

Since I was about 15 my chubby cheeks have been one of my biggest insecurities. I absolutely can’t stand them and avoid taking pictures, and just don’t feel pretty. They especially bother me because I’ve always been naturally skinny and don’t really have much weight to lose yet I have fat cheeks and a bit of annoying pudge under my chin/jawline. I started researching solutions and stumbled upon buccal fat removal and told myself I’d do it as soon as possible. I’m now 19, which is young for BFR as many doctors want patients to wait until they’re a bit older because cheek fat decreases as we age, however I didn’t feel the need to wait because both of my parents and older sibling have fuller than average cheeks so I knew mine wouldn’t get much better with age. I was originally saving money to have the procedure done in the US, but the past few months I have been especially insecure/impatient and wanted the surgery more than anything so the thought of traveling somewhere to do it cheaper was very appealing. I started looking at plastic surgeons in Tijuana (which is only a 2 hour drive away from me) and found Dr. Omar Lazos and read through many positive reviews and his amazing before and after pictures. I reached out and booked my appointment! The day came, I was very excited and a little nervous and drove down to the border with my best friend and we walked across, took a 10 minute taxi ride to Dr. Lazos’ office. He was on time for my appointment, we sat down and he explained the procedure and outcome of it and asked me if I wanted to proceed. I signed the consent and just a few minutes later was getting injected with the local anesthetic to begin the procedure! Each side for the buccal fat took probably 10 minutes, not much pain just discomfort and a pulling sensation but nothing unbearable, I have a pretty high pain tolerance. Next came the lipo under my chin/ jawline which was much more uncomfortable, but it went by fast and before I knew it I was being bandaged up and sent on my way with pain killers and antibiotics, the whole thing from the time I walked in the office to leaving was just over an hour and went very smooth. After crossing back to the US my friend drove me home and I drank a smoothie and had a little bit of soup that night, I could feel the pain/soreness coming so I took one of the painkillers and just tried to sleep.
