Buccal Fat Removal & Revision Dimpleplasty

WORTH IT$1,200
Those that read my prior posts (April 2018 - dimpleplasty) remember that I had dimpleplasty done and one side did not hold and the other turned out to be not as deep.
At any rate, I had waited out time so revision can be performed and had done dimpleplasty revision and buccal fat removal (????? ???? or Bichot) on 12 October 2018. I have made the decision to part with cheek fat simply because my face is genetically round and literally looks like a cushion especially when I gain weight (I did that last few years). While this might not be best for all ppl, for me this was becoming huge concern as my heavy cheeks were literally contributing to a bulldog face....
Revision could not be performed earlier as tissues need to heal from earlier dimpleplasty in April and to be done in cooler time of the year. Additionally, it really helps for doctor to observe how the first surgery results are progressing. So I had to be patient.
On the day of surgery: light protein breakfast, no makeup (difficult to remove afterwards), moisturize face and neck, and after brushing teeth - rinse mouth with leftover chlorhexidine from last surgery.
Procedure began with giving me inside and outside local anesthetic and having me to put sunglasses on.
Doctor was assisted by 3 students. These students were great help as they held my fat cheeks while doc squeezed and pulled fat out. My fat was deep and I could feel tugging and further dragging motion while piece/s were removed. I can describe this not so much painful but rather annoying and dull pressure that radiated to my temples.
While I did not clock the entire procedure, it was done around 1 hour at most: both a buccal fat and dimpleplasty revision.
Day1: surgery under local. Outside dimples covered with round bandaids. Face is tender and numb. Went to pharmacy in eve to pickup: chlorhexidine mouthwash and 7 days supply of amoxicillin. Moderate pain in eve, took 2 Advil. Ice packs on and off.
Day2: Large swelling in am. Continue to take meds and rinsing mouth after each meal. Took total 4 of Advil. Slight pain but a lot of uncomfortable pressure in lower face due to edema (this was and is expected!). Ice packs on and off.
Day3: Even more swelling! I look horrible but this is expected as I know from the past procedure. This shall pass. However, good news that barely any pain. No more ice packs but rather wet dishcloth in warm water applied below cheeks make it SOOO soothing.
Meals past days: shakes, smoothies, miso soup, vegetables soup, pudding, ice cream, mash potatoes. Absolutely no chewing food and rinse with medication after each meal. Also no straws since read somewhere of that.
No smile, no straws, limit talking, limit physical activity, sleep on back and high pillows.

Morning of 4th day - still swollen, no pain but get zingers (nerve sensations). I had them in the past with first surgery.

Also I forgot to mention that I am 45y/o + for those that writhing me that I will need buccal fat after 40. LOL. Apparently, my cheeks were predetermined to make me look like munchkin. I have been more than patient with them.

Slowly but surely swelling goes down each day tiny amount. I am taking antibiotics and rinse with antiseptic after each meal. There is a slight yellow bruising under the chin but barely any pain, only a dull pressure on both sides. From my past experience, full recovery is about 2 months - i.e. takes about two months to get face back to comfortable stage. This includes outside marks from stitches and lumpy bumps inside at the point of incisions.
So far, everything goes as expected.
Continuing to eat soft food, some boiled rice and soups. Key is to avoid a lot of biting until dimples take hold. Really hoping that this time both sides will!!!!
