I still see swelling on your sides which is awesome because it means you're going to keep shrinking you look very similar to my swelling at this point in time!!!! You'll be ecstatic at 6 months!! And at a year even better:-)

Hey girl! Long time no see! You are looking so beautiful! I still wake up flat and a swollen at night. I am 6 months post op. I wonder when all the swelling will stop? I am hoping this all ends at the one year mark! Anyway, you look great and had to say so!

Look at you! Can you even believe it's already been five weeks!? do you still wear spanx or anything for the swelling? I slept without mine last night and have gone without it all day so far. (4 weeks today). Are you wearing yourself off of the garments yet? I love that you are just a week ahead of me...gives me an idea of what's ahead ;). Thanks for updating us here!

I know, I'll actually be 6 weeks on Thursday! Yay! I feel so much more normal. My doctor cleared me to do any workouts except heavy lifting. I haven't worn my CG for a week. Then I did a lot of housework an some light workouts and felt so swollen I started wearing my CG to bed. Congrats on 4 weeks! In my opinion, you just have to do what feels good at this point.

Your swelling looks like it's already almost gone! It only gets better from here. The swelling does tend to get worse with exercise but the end result will have some built up muscle under there ;) You look fantastic!
April 23, 2015
Thank you! I would LOVE to see muscle. Now onto reducing body fat, lol! I feel great and never thought I would be able to have this done. I've never felt so good about myself. Even when I was 15 lbs less, I always had the baby belly. I'm so happy!

Swelling down this morning....

cmurr81
I woke this morning after sleeping with no garment or binder (I needed a break), and to my surprise, I was less swollen since surgery! Still a little swollen but not as bad as its been. Yay! As soon as I started moving around it started swelling up again, boo! But I was just happy to see a better looking belly. Definitely need to invest in some new bras and undies now! ;) As far as the stretch marks, I will look into derma rolling in the winter and for the summer, Im going to try spray tan. We'll see! But I'm feeling optimistic. :)

Yay!!! Booh! on crappy swelling! At what point in your recovery did the swelling start to kick in? Was it immediate or after a couple weeks. I'm gearing myself up for it (post op day 17). I do know that if I don't get my feet up at least once before 4pm...I am kinda cranky, more bent over like a granny, and my spanx seems feel like they are digging in :(. So maybe that is the swelling? Anyway...Congrats on having to get new undies! Go for the thong!
April 10, 2015
Lol! I have thongs, but my but looks weird cause of the tuck. Kind of square. I guess I can start squats now?!? My swelling was from the day after surgery and continues to this day...only this morning it was down a lot, but right back up again. I was just happy to see that it won't be stuck like that FOREVER!

Oh the old ass tuck, soo not cute on any of us, lol ;) You should be able to do air squats, I do, not a lot. If it's not comfortable don't do it. You look amazing!!

You look fantastic!!!! I'm hoping my bb looks as good as yours! Hard to tell with mine this early but looks kinda weird.

I did the same thing last night! Totally had to let my tummy breathe. Your tummy and BB look so good I wouldn't let those stretch marks bother you. All the moms are going to be jealous of you and your flat tummy this summer! Can I trade you belly buttons? Lol
April 10, 2015
Thank you, lol! Hearing that made me feel so good! Your belly button doesn't look bad, and your tummy looks amazing and tiny! But if you aren't happy with your bb, I've heard revision is a simple procedure....just print out a picture of what you want it to look like and show your doctor. Did you start working out yet? I'm so ready!!!

I've done light weights for arms and lower body weight workouts. And I just cleaned my whole house and I'm not gonna lie I hurt! I'm super swollen and achy. I did way too much. Damn when I start to feel good I always overdo it. Just go really slowly and see how your body responds the day after. If your swollen more than back off for a couple more days. My mind is saying we can do this but my body is obviously telling me it's too soon.
April 11, 2015
I think I will call my surgeon and ask. He is pretty laid back and will probably just say if it hurts, don't do it, lol! I pulled my back out because I was on my feet for 2 hours cooking the night before. I think I can start light cardio once my posture is back. My butt looks soooo weird! How is your posture?

When the swelling comes way down so do the appearance of the stretch marks!!;) you look great!!!:-)

What a RELIEF! Thank you!

i did not think I had any stretch marks above bb except right above it; yet I have a ton now below bb which is what was above bb before. Odd? Or just pulled tighter where I can see them now?
User Avatar
April 10, 2015
Yep lol but they will fade as the swelling goes my bb was stretched out and that same thing happened to me I have a small spot but nothing compared to what I did have... so its still worth it:-)
April 11, 2015
I know, I thought the doc would have got all mine but I don't think the skin on my pre tt belly was thin enough. I had a thick layer of fat, lol! The only way he would have got them all is with a vertical scar and there was a higher infection rate.

You look great! I'm 10 weeks today and still swell on a regular basis. More activity during the day, like exercise, makes it worse in the evening :/ Try the Jergens Natural Glow. It's a daily moisturizer lotion that gradually tans you over several days and you don't get the weird blotches and streaks of color. I put it on after the shower and it works great! You can use it daily.
April 10, 2015
I'll try that Jergen's for sure. I've used an at home spray tan before called Body Drench Quick Tan, and I absolutely LOVE it. I try to keep my face out of the sun and would use that instead. It doesn't look orange at all, gives a nice glow.

Another one that I use is St. Tropez. It is amazing! No streaks! I do spray tans as well but last time we went to cancun didn't have time, so bought this and it looked so nice. A little pricey but worth it

Red the reviews on the St. Tropez on Amazon. I also like Jergens gradual glow (just give a tad bit of color but I use it for extending my color) :)
