More Mobile but Back and Incision on fire!!!
So today is my 3rd day post op. I'm actually becoming a little more mobile as the days pass but this morning I woke up to a burning sensation throughout my lower back and incision. My back is also so numb from the Lipo and it feels so strange. The sensation is intense but bearable most of the time. I also haven't been able to do a bowl movement. I started taking Ducolax (stool softner) the day of my surgery and still nothing. I even tried cutting back on the pain meds because I know they can cause a back up but I can only hold off for so long before I become to uncomfortable. A friend of mine recommended Magnesium Citrate so I'm going to have my husband pick me up some. Hopefully that gives me some relief.

I FINALLY POOPED!!!
I never thought going poop would make me so happy. I have been taking stool softners and eating foods high in fiber for 4 days and still hadn't had a bowl movement. My stomach was hard as a rock. Lets just say I was a very happy constipates girl when I was finally able to go. I highly recommend to start taking a stool softner immediately following surgery. It will help eliminate any back up. Even if you don't get constipated you will still want it to be softer because trust me, the last thing you want to do is have to use your stomach muscles for ANYTHING.
