What I Thought Was a Good Experience Gone Very Wrong!

I was initially pleased with my results, until I started noticing issues such as a good size lump under one eye, was told to give it time. Time didn’t fix it so I went in for the “fix” which I was charged for another syringe of filler (now 3 syringes of filler I have paid for) to take care of, this created a second lump towards my cheekbone. Waited that out hoping it was just swelling, it wasn’t. Went back in to dissolve some of it, was charged again for this “fix”, this was a nightmare. Too much was dissolved and I have ended up with extreme darkness and a huge dip in my face, under my eye in my tear trough and up against my nose, which are none of the areas that even needed dissolving. After having dealt with this so much I have decided to have this fixed elsewhere, I asked for a refund for the third filler because this was used to “fix” the issue that had been created to begin with, I also asked for a refund for the dissolvent. She agreed to the $50.00 refund but not the $550 she charged me to “fix” this issue which is not good customer service. I have ended up with a bag of loose skin from the dissolvent and still have the second lump above my cheek. Also she injected the borders of my lips more so than the lip tissue itself which gave a strange effect in the end and made my lip borders hard and look odd when I smiled and my top lip was larger than the bottom. And when I was told I had to make an appt to collect my receipts and medical chart, after signing multiple documents and giving her my ID, she hands me my folder and as I’m opening her office door to leave she closes it and proceeds to very angrily tell me that the email I sent her MD was totally false, which felt harassing and intemidating. You live you learn, all things I learned too late.

That's horrible omg I feel for you. If something goes wrong they don't admit to their mistakes.

Some do, unfortunately it’s the ones that don’t that create that stigma for all. My new injector actually fixed me free of charge. I’m just thankful someone was willing to do the right thing.

I’m sorry this has happend to you too. Do you know how much was used to dissolve the filler? I’m currently having the same issue; I’ve lost the majority of the tissue around my eyes; I had no hollows before. 500 units were used on my lips to dissolve filler, the Hyaluronidase has damaged my eye area and other areas of my face (mostly eyes) from being injected in my lips. So it can migrate!

Are you happy with the results you have now to correct the effects from the dissolver?

Thank you and I’m so sorry you’re going through this as well. She told me she used a tiny amount to dissolve but I ended up dissolving a lot more than it should have, but there were 2 lumps and the eye wasn’t right to begin with. I had hollows before but after dissolving they were so much worse and I now have a sack of loose skin that only time will fix. Since seeing a new provider and having it fixed I am very please with the results. I just should have done more research on my injector, i would have learned a lot I wish I had known before and would have gone elsewhere.

I too wish I’d done more research. The doctor I went to see does have good reviews, though there isn’t any reviews for Hyaluronidase, and apparently, well, so he said, is a leading specialist in using hyauluronidase. I now don’t believe this to be true, I’ve found nothing online to confirm that he is one of the leading specialists in doing corrections.

Anyway, It’s good you’re feeling a bit better in yourself. I may have some correction done I still haven’t decided. I’m worried of anymore damage being done to my face.

I totally understand how you feel, I was apprehensive as well but am so glad I found my current injector. She has been understanding and absolutely professional and was clear she genuinely wanted to help me, not just collect a buck. She didn’t even charge me to do my correction. I’m very lucky to have found her because with each day that passed my face looked worse, I would probably be hiding in a closet right now depressed otherwise. It will get better, week other providers and ask others in the area their opinion and such. Also ask for a portfolio from the provider showing their work, that might help.

Hi! What did the new provider do to fix the results? I'm going through the same thing and would love to hear from you. Thanks!

Hi! Thank you for sharing. My eye kinda looks like yours I think I have some pockets of filler left. Did you have more dissolved? I’m glad you found someone to fix! It’s hard to find caring doctors now.

I am sorry to hear this! Hoping you can find another provider to correct your issue. I did not have more dissolved, there wasn’t much left to dissolve when it was said and done. I actually had more filler injected to correct it, I also had to have more filler injected in the other eye to correct the asymmetry, they’re worlds better now!

hey hope u are doing better. the loose skin is probably swelling. the swelling lasts a long time if there is filler in there ( irritation plus filler: swelling for three weeks).
September 5, 2018
Thank you, the skin is still loose. It has been almost 2 months, just over filling and then dissolving has left loose skin that I suppose only time and a good eye cream will fix.
September 5, 2018
are you sure there is nomore filler? because i know for a fact that overfill will create a loose skin effect. unless you see hollow. if it stretched with time it should remodel. three syringes under one eye is too much. usually ppl get one at the most.

I didn’t have 3 syringes under one eye, but that eye was injected 3 times, bits here and there which ended up creating the 2 lumps. When she dissolved it basically ended up dissolving all of the filler under my eye. I’ve since seen a different provider with more experience and she actually corrected my eye free of charge it was so bad. So it is now better but I do still have a bit of loose skin, which time will fix, it just hasn’t been enough time yet.

Hi - how are you doing? Do you need to go back for more under eye filler or has your tissue regrown as the filler dissolved?
