I'm not happy with the category 'coolsculpting'. I hope that someday the category allows us to review several types of cryolipolysis. Modern day 'coolsculpting' involves 6 to 8 pads that are (in my case) bound to the abdomen for an hour with EMS. We are talking here about several approaches. It is like talking about cars. Some like small cars, other like big cars. People who cannot afford a big car will always give small cars a bad review... Also pricing is way down... I pay approx. 600 EUR for 18 hours of treatment...

Cryolipolysis: YES
NO to Coolsculpting seems painfull and very expensive
YES to Cryo 4S efficient and not painfull (no bruises). It even covers a much larger area.

I think that there is much difference between american (most of the posts here) and european prices ! This being said 600 € for 18 hours of treatment is really really cheap, even on our continent (comment from France) ! Where was the treatment done ? Beauty salon or medical centre ? And which system ? Of course you are right speaking about cryolipolysis would have more sense than CoolSculpting which anyway belongs to Zeltiq only and is the most expensive of all treatments (but maybe the best as well...)

Prices in the US are higher because their income is higher (because social security is not mandatory). 600 vs 2500 euro... Hmm the same apparatus operated by a schooled beautician vs a dermatologist... this one will up the prices (and exploit our European social security). Also: cheap or affordable? Which system? Cryo4S (a German system with electrodes with cooling power) not the 'vacuum'-one called 'cool sculpting'. I guess our 'European system' is more humane and thus not painful compared to the other reviews here. That is why I call out to use the scientific name and not the system.

More humane? You are strapped to something for 18 HOURS to ELECTRODES where our process takes 35 minutes and you are out the door with no downtime. Who has 18 HOURS to be just laying around not living life? I have not yet heard of this Cryo4s system but I will do my research on it. But you seem to be confused because the word "Coolsculpting" is a trademarked name and procedure--like you would also find on RealSelf "Vanquish" and "SculpSure." Also, it has years of studies and evidence backing its efficacy.

Who said that I laid there for 18 hours straight? Perhaps you could have guessed that it is 18 sessions...
Cryolipolysis is the studied method with evidence. Please do not confuse discipline vs technique.
Coolsculpting is the technique sucking in skin. (causing pain and bruises for several days)
Cryo4S (German) is a blanket of ice cold pad with EMS

I did it. It was so painful and not worth it. I didn’t receive my ROI on it.
February 21, 2018
Hi, which one do you mean? Coolsculpting 'the vacuum' or Cryo4S 'electrodes with cooling power'?
February 21, 2018
Perhaps show everyone that it works as well as CoolSculpting and they’ll take note. However I agree there should be 2 categories - one CoolSculpting to capture the FDA approved Zeltiq technology and one Cryolipolysis to capture all the imitations

I do not agree completely. Coolsculpting 'the vacuum' and Cryo4S 'the pads on the skin' (see picture) are the categories. Cryolipolysis is the technique (reducing fat tissue by freezing).
After two treatments: already minus 3 kg. Everyday is a small number of bodyfat getting disposed of. It could have been better if I didn't had two beers along the way. It also does not help eating extra because the cure 'will fix it'.
Also the treatment has more effect on a person with outspoken obesity vs someone like Kim Kardashian.
Thirdly everyone in obesity-treatment has big plans, yet the guidance counselors forget to cut the plan into smaller, easy to take steps. Target -30 kg should mean that the target is cut into 6 smaller steps of -5kg.
And last but not least. I see very painful pictures after Coolsculpting (days of bruises) and a lot of negative reviews. In my humble opinion: Cryo4S is better than Coolsculpting.

did it actually work?
March 6, 2018
Cryo4S works if you do not consume alcohol and soda. I measure daily and each day is 'no weight gain or slimming'. A night after alcohol and/or soda I gain weight.
After 3 sessions I lost 2% bodyfat...
