20 Months Post Op Update

I just wanted to add some pictures to show how my breasts settled after a couple of years. In terms of how they feel they've been absolutely fine - painless and the scar healed well. However, I've decided to have them removed. This isn't anything to do with the surgeon/surgery or appearance of my breasts which was all fine. I just find them too big for my body - they make me look bigger than I am and I can no longer wear 90% of my clothes - high neck tops or jumpers look awful as they're just too big. Also I'm at a different place in my life now. I still think having big boobs makes me look good naked, I just don't look good in clothes any more and that's been getting me down.

That's too bad. I think they look really good.
I know a couple relatives that have decided this as well as had capsular contracture issues more than once. They felt that being in their mid-late 50s, they didn't want such large breasts anymore. When speaking with my surgeon, I asked about this phenomenon and it's very common. Call it a life cycle of implants perhaps, by a certain age some women are over it or feel frumpy in their clothing options. My mom had hers removed a few months before I got my 590s, we joke that we switched boobs. She's now happily a B and I'm excited to be a DD.
I’m sorry to hear this ! What size did you get and what are your stats
Wow this is exactly how I feel . Looks good naked but have to wear oversized of everything and that makes me so top heavy . Not to mention I gained some extra pounds the last few years and I feel top and bottom heavy . My explant is scheduled for January 16. Good luck !
Any updates?

Day 6 - Pain review!

So far the pain has been absolutely bearable with painkillers. I've been surprisingly able to do stuff round the house (although having to make myself not do too much, I live alone and it's tempting to get the hoover out!) but cooking and light tidying have been fine.

The worst/most difficult post-op pain was the muscles under my arms, they literally ONLY hurt when I tried to support myself to move in bed, but I soon discovered its actually really hard to get in and out of bed without using your arms to support you! However, these are loads better and I am getting in and out of bed fine.

Last night I woke for my usual 4am wee and upon lying back down I had awful boob pain - like knives in my breasts, especially my right one (like very bad mastitis). This morning they are still painful. Assuming this is all part of the joy of the healing process!

Will take some more photos today or tomorrow.

48 Hours in and time for the big reveal!

I was desperate to have a look and today I was finally allowed to remove the surgical bra for a quick wash.

My boobs are obviously very swollen and solid still but I think they'll look good eventually...
