Nearly two years on and I'm delighted with the result
WORTH IT$1,500
Just a quickie to say that I'm very pleased I had this surgery. I visited Dr P in Harley St a couple to times to discuss the ectroption of my right lower lid. He did offer a small corrective procedure free of charge but was fairly sure that it would eventually right itself.
He wasn't 100% correct - I still have a small gap and my eye gets sore in the sunshine and dry or hot weather. However, it doesn't seem significant enough to have another operation.
Overall the removal of my eye bags takes years off me and I'm so glad I did it!

Pic showing ectropion
This is from 31 May - the ectropion (gap where lower lid stands out from the eye is just barely visible on my left eye but clearly noticeable on my right.

What's it like when you look straight ahead? Are you still suffering dry eye problems? I still have some when I look up, but it doesn't look so bad straight ahead. It has taken all of 7 months for internal bruising and damage to be nearly gone. It will take a full year I think. I still feel too tight across the bottom eyelid and feel I look rather unnatural. I'm not sure, but wish I had done facelift and forehead lift without the lower bleph first to see if it was necessary. But I suppose it would not have fixed puffiness. Maybe all will be better in a full year. Show another front pic for improvement comparison. Are you any happier with the look?
I also think, other than the ectropion, you look great with makeup on. Just looked at before puffiness and shadow pic and think you will be happy in a few more months. I'm not sure why some people heal so much better. Maybe their doctors take a much more conservative approach?
Hello,
I am 44 years old and fed up since a long long time with thos puffy under-my-eyes bags, that I have tried to reduce with every possible cream or fluid or whatever...
I was considering to have them definelty remover by Dr Plovier too. From your experience (thanks for sharing it so honestly), I am now not so sure he is the answer to my problem.
Would you stillrecommend him ?
Thanks.

A lot better but still some ectropion on right eye
I actually postponed my last checkup with Dr Plovier, as it was only three weeks after the previous one and I didn't feel enough had changed to make it worthwhile going again. So my next appointment is in August.
My eyes are looking a lot better but I'm still having some discomfort in my right eye, I'm guessing this is because it is still healing. It feels constantly irritated and throbbing, this gets worse the more tired I am.
There's still some ectropion but I really think it's only noticeable to me at this stage - and my current feeling is I won't have it revised for cosmetic reasons. If the revision helps with the discomfort I'll consider it - but this is decreasing all the time and I'm hoping that by August will be well on its way out.
Hoping soon I'll be able to change my rating to "worth it"!!
Ps - my eyes are STILL bloodshot - did anyone else have this and will it subside?
