Threw away my money - my eyelids have drooped again

A woman at a gym I went I had an eye job. She looked fabulous and because I was wanting upper and lower Blepharoplasty done I asked her who did her work.

When she told me it was Ross Clevens of Melbourne Fl, I booked a consultation almost right away. Watching my gym friend heal, I thought Clevens would do a great job on me, too.

I was 66 and although I took great care of my skin, I hated the bags I was starting to get and the extra skin folds of my upper eyelids. I figured I’d also have co2 laser done to refresh my face, neck and chest.

At my appointment it was more of me explaining to his assistants what I was looking for than the doctor. Dr Clevens finally came in and told me that without a brow lift, the results of the Blepharoplasty wouldn’t be as good. I figured he was the Dr and knew what he was talking about and agree to the lift, too.

Immediately after the consult with Dr Clevens a woman came into the room and told me if I booked right away I was save money lol… tacky but he had such a good reputation and I saw the great results on another woman, I paid for the surgery.

Well, in the beginning as I was healing from both the surgery and laser, I was thrilled with the results. What I was seeing was the swelling which made my brows seem very lifted and my skin was freaky tight from the laser. I did notice that my left eye still had a bag, was told that would eventually go ( it didn’t) He also shaved about 1 1/2 “ of my hairline with a surgical blade that left a bald spot, that 10 months later has not filled in as promised. He cut my forehead from temple to temple, causing a ridge in half my forehead that it obvious to the touch and to see. I had to cut bangs to cover this ridge which has not gone away!

Last September I went to see Clevens as it looked once a lot of the healing had taken place it was as if he did NOTHING at all but take my money and leave me with a weird scar ( a scar that during one of my visits he blamed me for because I didn’t use HIS scar gel as according to him was the only stuff that worked)

My eyelids have drooped again and the brow lift has done nothing.

As people have told me since the surgery, they see no difference, either.

I look at my face and the money I spent and cry at the pain I went through and money I threw away all for nothing.

As a post script, telling my gym friend how disappointed I was she told me Clevens didn’t do the actual work, another Dr who was no longer practicing in his office did her eye job….. if only she had told me this first.

I’ve had better results from just botox and fillers done at a different office. This surgery was a waste and Clevens was less than sympathetic.
