Most plastic surgeons can attest that majority of their patients have satisfactory results. Keep in mind, Dr. Garcia claims to be a "double" board certified plastic surgeon (Otolaryngology and Facial Plastic Surgery), who does cookie cutter procedures. There is no customization. It is true what others say about the consultation and office staff, which it's all great!
During my initial consultation for a neck lift, we discussed the coronal brow lift procedure and the fact that it is cheaper to combine procedures instead of doing them separately. That's fine! Dr. Garcia explained that he would removed the 11 muscles (corrugator supercilii and procerus) and 80% percent of the movement in that area would be released. Fast forward 18 months since my procedures, a mini face lift and coronal brow lift, and I have been left with an atrophy scar on the left side of my scalp and my 11' are still very active and noticeable. Apparently, the muscles were not removed.
Because I sacrificed $13K, I followed after care instructions and went to all my aftercare appts. for the 12 months that followed. When I raised my concerns of the 11's , I was advised to inject Botox. But the reason why I had the brow lift to begin with was to get a longer lasting result because it was taking 50 units of Botox to restrict movement in that area. Even if it takes 1/2 of the units I was needing before the surgery, I didn't expect to have to inject Botox six months out of surgery. When I told him that my scar was indented on the left side of my scalp, he told me not to worry that it is hidden behind the hairline. When I raised concerns that my jawline was not defined, he explained that he had stretched the neck skin as far as it would go and said he didn't know what he was looking at.
There is just no accountability. Even though I had done my research before selecting an only faces surgeon, I regret my selection. I whished I had went with another doctor.
Since leaving Dr. Garcia's care, I followed up with an ENT. Turns out that I have some submandibular gland swelling, which is the reason why my neck line was not defined. I have since started conservative care and the swelling has gone done significantly. I am looking forward to seeing the results of my neck lift. I am now searching for another plastic surgeon to help with the atrophy scar and my 11's.
