Amazing Experience

After months of research, reading countless reviews, and meeting with multiple surgeons, I finally found Dr. Koken. Since this was my face, I wanted to be absolutely certain I was making the right decision. I had a droopy eye that required upper blepharoplasty, ptosis correction, and an endoscopic temporal lift. Needless to say, I was scared.

During my consultations with other surgeons, many recommended adding extra procedures or suggested things I didn’t really need. But my experience with Dr. Koken was completely different. From our very first consultation, he only recommended exactly what was necessary to achieve the best result. That was the moment I knew, “This is the doctor I can trust with my face.” He never tried to sell me unnecessary procedures. He treated me like a patient, not a customer. This is the kind of doctor everyone hopes to find—not someone who acts like a butcher or a salesperson, but a surgeon who genuinely puts the patient’s best interest first.

I traveled all the way from the United States at the end of June and had my surgery three days later after completing all the necessary lab work and evaluations. Dr. Koken took the time to explain every detail of the surgery and what I should realistically expect during recovery. He was honest, thorough, and never gave me false expectations.

One thing I want future patients to know is that healing takes time. The day after surgery, when I looked in the mirror and saw the bandages, swelling, and bruising, I felt very emotional and even a little depressed. But you have to trust the process and trust your doctor. Recovery is a journey, and as the saying goes, it gets worse before it gets better. Bruising and swelling are completely normal, especially during the first three weeks. I am still healing, but I already love the improvement I see every day.

I also want to express my heartfelt gratitude to Nurse Aysenur. She truly went above and beyond for me. Since there wasn’t a shower in the office, she still found a way to wash my hair using a bucket and clean water just so I would feel more comfortable. That level of kindness and compassion meant so much to me, and I will never forget it.

Finally, I want to recognize another wonderful member of the office staff whose name I unfortunately don’t know. She was constantly checking on me, asking if I needed coffee, water, or anything else to make me comfortable. She regularly brought me fresh ice packs for my face and made sure I was well cared for throughout my visits. We often recognize doctors, nurses, and coordinators, but people like her make an enormous difference in a patient’s experience, and I hope she knows how appreciated she is.
