Vaginoplasty + Labiaplasty with Dr. Marashi Was the BEST Decision I Have Ever Made! - Brooklyn, NY

I poured over reviews and read tons of experiences regarding both vaginoplasty and labiaplasty surgeries. I have spent my whole life not entirely comfortable with the look and feel of my labia and vagina. Truthfully, it wasn't too "bad", but I personally found my slightly elongated and irregular labia both uncomfortable and not pretty to look at. Also, after years of doing kegels I just never felt like my vagina was ever "tight" even as a teenager. Call it the luck of the draw or maybe genetics. I have never had children and my husband had no complaints in the sexual department, this was a totally personal decision and one I had thought long and hard about. It seems like divine intervention when a friend of mine mentioned Dr. Amir Marashi one night while we were out for a cocktail and girl talk. I had pretty much kept this to myself that I was thinking about having my "vagina done". She had known of a few people who had wonderful results with him and she herself had seen him for a regular GYN exam and could vouch for his extremely kind demeanor and professionalism. I was in for a consultation that week. Dr. Marashi from the very minute I met him put my mind at ease about the whole procedure and what to expect. I never once felt rushed or like "just another patient". In reading about his background I found that he "has special interest in minimally invasive surgery, robotic surgery , and SILS surgery (single incision laparoscopy surgery)", so I knew I was in a skilled surgeons hands. He examined me and confirmed that yes, while I didn't have the after effects of some patients who have had children or were older than me- I could have my vaginal walls tightened slightly and that he would do the "wedge method" to even out and smooth out my labia. He is not a proponent of the "barbie" look, he would leave me looking and feeling completely natural. He drew illustrations to explain the surgery and showed me many before and after photos. I was quite nervous about the procedure but book in to do it at his clinic in Brooklyn. I have to say- the entire staff was extremely kind and courteous the whole way through my experience and from the reception staff, the nurses, to the anesthesiologist that they had on staff - he was one of the best and he put me at total ease and this part of the procedure was one of the scariest for me. Dr. Marashi was available before hand for any last minute questions or concerns. Waking up in the recovery room I was offered some really tasty tea and water and an extra blanket as I was shaking slightly. After about an hour my friend was there to pick me up and I went back to Manhattan in a car. I felt surprisingly well. I had my prescription pain meds and anti-biotics, lots of fluids and soup for dinner. I spent about 3 days resting just to be certain my recovery would be as easy as possible. No heavy lifting or working out at all. I had just minor bleeding which is totally normal and no other complications at all. It was about a 12-14 week period until my husband and I had intercourse again and the first time we did- the very back of my vagina felt a little sore but after a month or two of getting used to the new tightness - it was like a whole new world opened up for me! I feel more confident and happy about myself. The labiaplasty was flawless. I am not a fan of the barbie look either and like Dr. Marashi promised, I looked natural and beautiful. My vagina and labia look GREAT- he is a true artist. I cannot say enough positive things about him- he is now my GYN and I've never had a Dr. that I was HAPPY to go and see.
