I have had skinny forearms and legs since birth. When I first started using the gym frequently about 5 years ago it became apparent to me that they were significantly thin as compared to the average person. Being tall exacerbated the situation so after a few years of trying to fix the problem in the gym I had calf implants placed in the interior of both legs. The problem was only fixed slightly and I went from hiding the problem with track suit pants to wearing shorts and high-top sneakers to hide my shin area which was still skinny (and quite noticeable due to my long legs). I would also wear long sleeve t-shirts for my forearms. I continued focusing my efforts in the gym on heavy squats and forearm exercises and although small gains in the targeted areas were noticed, I was still far off where I desired to be in relation to size and proportion of my legs and forearms. I am in my mid 20s and did not want to wait till my late 20s to address the problem, and living in Australia it is hard to cover up body issues due to the heat and beach culture. After extensive research I was able to narrow down my options to a few, one of which was Dr Leonard Grossman based in New York. After conducting further research and reading online reviews I decided to go with Dr Grossman who seemed to have the most experience and positive reviews when it came to fat grafting to forearms and legs. My research was not shallow and I can be quite skeptical at times. I sent numerous emails to Dr Grossman's office prior to surgery and Sammie who works with Dr Grossman was extremely patient and attentive in answering all my questions and addressing all my concerns. I had fat grafting performed on my forearms, both sides of my calves and shins. The overall result is beyond my expectations and I was especially pleased with the look of my legs. I am back to wearing running shoes with shorts (has been years since I was last comfortable to do this) as well as t-shirts. The recovery period was a lot shorter than expected and prior to surgery I thought I would need multiple fat grafting surgeries to get to where I am now (which I am happy to be wrong about) . I was advised that the final result will not show until 3 months after surgery so I hope to update this post then (will look to include before and after photos as they will be better in conveying the results). Dr Grossman is patient, thorough and skilled in what he does and his support staff of Sammie, Samantha and Yoli are great and made sure I was comfortable and well informed throughout the whole process. An overall extremely positive experience and well worth the cost of surgery and travelling from Australia to New York to have the surgery.

I would really love to see the before and after photos. Is the fat still absorbed?
