I started my journey wanting to get fat grafted...

WORTH IT
I started my journey wanting to get fat grafted from my body into my breast. I had done my research and realized that not too many doctors actually do this procedure. I called here and there and I felt like most places required a little too much for what I felt was a simple procedure. I narrowed my search down to Dr. Leonard Grossman. His credentials superseded my expectations and soon I booked a consultation to further discuss my goals for the augmentation using the fat grafting method. First, I want to say how immaculate the office is and how friendly his staff was. The women are down to earth, courteous, professional and were also very helpful with answering any questions I had about the procedure. Soon, I saw Dr. Grossman who was also very honest, informative, attentive to my needs and wants and professional. We followed up with my stats which is: Breast Size: 36 B Weight: 148 lbs Age: 32 Height: 5'1. I explained to him that I wanted to transfer my fat from my abdomen to my breast in the hopes to go up 2 cup sizes. He said that it wasn't achievable because of the type of profile I wanted. I would only a achieve a cup to a cup and a half. I would need to go back a second time to fully get what I wanted. (I for one don't have cash lying around so coming back was out of the question). We talked about the procedure and how and where he would extract the fat tissues into the breast. Because it is a 2 for 1 deal, the surgery would be a little more. So with all the information that was given to me, I felt like I wanted to continue with the surgery and scheduled a date for it. I payed the consultation fee of $100.00 along with the full payment of the surgery in itself. I was able to speak to Sam (which is one of the nurses) who had done the grafting herself and was able to provide me with the small intricate details that I may have missed of the procedure as well as her own experience! I thought that was great. She sent my prescriptions out and gave me a few sheets of papers detailing (medicine and hygiene) what I needed to do in order for the surgery to go as smooth as possible. That was that and I went home. A week after my visit, I started to back pedal and thought about everything over and over. It drove me insane because I wanted to now change my procedure from fat grafting to breast augmentation using the TUBA method. Here's why. Remember when I told you I wanted to at least be 2 cups larger?? Well, I had to re-evaluate our (Dr. Grossman and I) conversation and said to myself there is no way of achieving that through the fat grafting method. So< I called the office back and told them about my concerns and I was scheduled to see the doctor about my new procedure and what the expectations are of that procedure. Again, Sam was unbelievably supportive and patient with all of my jitters and questions. She made sure I was able to see him within a day! I was grateful. I saw him and he explained the following (which you can find on his website if you still need to know more) "The TUBA procedure, or Transumbilical Breast Augmentation, is a form of breast augmentation where breast implants are put in place through an incision near the navel. Rather than making incisions on or near the breast, the incision is made in a place that allows the breast to look and feel more natural. During TUBA Surgery, the implants are inserted through the navel and are only inflated once they have been set in place. This allows a plastic surgeon to get a clear sense of how the breast will look post-operatively, and ensures that the implants are the desired size. In traditional breast implant surgery, the implants are often inserted pre-inflated, limiting the changes that a surgeon can make to size, look, and feel. In non-TUBA Procedures, you or your surgeon won’t get a clear sense of how your breasts will look or feel until after the recovery period has ended. With the TUBA procedure, a skilled plastic surgeon can ensure that the implants are placed in a position that is most aesthetically pleasing, that the breasts are symmetrical, and that your implants are the correct size. Saline implants are used during the Transumbilical Breast Augmentation procedure, to ensure patient safety during the inflation process. " -Dr. Grossman (YouTube channel)
I want to point out again that most doctors I had seen doing TUBA also did it using the opposite method of what Dr. Grossman does. Their method is more invasive and a little risky in my opinion. If you view on youtube you can see for yourself how many women have gone for the incision under the breast or in the nipple and have had infections or other problems occur. I really liked Dr. GROSSMANS approach and how quickly I was going to recover without complications. Fast forward to my procedure and I was excited and nervous but once I entered the operating room I was calm and ready. Next thing you know I woke up from the procedure a new woman! I felt swollen and a little heavy. Some pain was there and exhaustion but otherwise I was in good spirits.
The first night was challenging propping pillows and moving a little here and there. Not being able to raise my arms fully. Slept a lot. Second day I was up and moving around. I was able to raise my arms up and do small things around the house. You do experince new sensations around your body. Numbness, tingling, needle like prickling, nipples are sensitive, muscles are adjusting to the implant et cetera. I did nothing crazy that would overexert myself as you have to follow up with the directions given to you in order to ensure your recovery is a safe and a successful one. I stopped taking meds by the third day and began my massages. At first it is uncomfortable but then you get use to it and it becomes nothing more than a routine for you. I have to say... my entire experience was amazing. I was very very happy with my results. They were the perfect size and complimented my body frame. They are still a little swollen and will slowly but surely fall into its place. I see it every day. Consistency is key and following your doctors instructions is pivotal. I would recommend DR. LEONARD GROSSMAN to anyone.

Do they feel natural?
Yes, they do. The swelling went down significantly and I am due for an updated photo. Maybe I'll post one soon.
Hey Natalya :-). Can we have an update please? I'm really thinking about going through with this pocedure. However I've heard some pretty scary things about implants in the long run. Since it's been over a year how do You feel? Thank You and I hope all is well.
Hi do you have any updates ?
