2 years post op

With my asymmetry, I wanted to give myself a couple of years to fully heal before judging my final results. Lately, I have been feeling pretty bummed to be honest. The swelling on my right supratip is still there. I feel like it makes my nose look crooked. I have an appointment with dr. Patel in a couple weeks to discuss my options.
Financially, emotionally and time wise I don’t know if another revision is realistic right now. I wish I could just be symmetrical. I also wish my nose fit my face better.
To be honest though, there isn’t one part of my face I wouldn’t change if I could so I’m not sure if I’m just being overly critical or not. I look at other people’s “asymmetrical” noses after rhinoplasty and think wow I wish mine looked that good.
I just don’t know.

10 months!!!

I no longer feel stiff or swollen! This took a long time (8+ months). I have had to be extremely patient with my swelling as I still have some in my tip, especially on my right side. However, my doctor is confident that the swelling will continue to dissipate over the next year. The only part of my nose that feels hard is my right tip.
I'm pleased with the outcome overall and will be happy when the tip completely heals.

Finally a Kenalog Injection!

I had my 5 month post op and De. Patel gave me a tony dose of diluted kenalog in the tip of my nose! He suggested it, and I said yes please! It hardly hurt at all. The needle must have been TINY!

He said he wants to see me in a month or two because he might decide to give more steroid injections. He said this is a slow acting steroid so he'd rather be conservative and do a little at a time.

I'm happy with this and I'm excited to see if the kenalog helps over the next few weeks. I'll be seeing him again on May 23.
