My Husband and I Give Dr. Loewenstein the Highest Marks!
I was happy with the shape of my breasts, but I always felt they were small given the size of my upper arms. This bothered me - A LOT. I was hesitant to move forward with an augmentation because I didn't want to show my breasts to anyone (except my husband, of course) and I didn't want to end up with "bullet boobs". I finally got fed up and asked my husband to help me research plastic surgeons in our area. Dr. Loewenstein kept winning the race in our research so I scheduled the consultation. SO glad I did! I told him I was apprehensive about the unveiling and he put me right at ease, saying something like "Well, I promise not to feel uncomfortable, so you don't need to feel uncomfortable either". I laughed and explained what I was and wasn't looking for, and then I worked with his nurse, Sandi, to understand possible dates for surgery. To be honest, although the consult and scheduling went very well, and I was excited to finally be moving forward with this, my husband and I were skeptical about what the results would really look like. I hadn't had babies, so I entered surgery with very dense breast tissue. It took a full year and a half for my breasts to "settle". I have to say, we were both pleasantly surprised with the results! My breasts look, feel and move like they always did, but the size is finally proportionate with my upper arms - yay! The surgical experience was really good, the recovery not super painful (because Dr. Loewenstein was excellent at managing my pain), and our experience with Dr. Loewenstein and his staff was superb! He used a product called Mentor Memory Gel, and placed the implants beneath the muscle wall. The scars are small and are located beneath the breasts. My OB/GYN even commented on how nice his work looked; apparently she sees some scary stuff. Mammograms aren't a problem either. We couldn't have known for sure, but as it turned out, selecting Dr. Loewenstein as our surgeon was a incredibly smart move! Dr. Loewenstein's unique combination of 35 years surgical experience, inherent artistry, and kind/compassionate bedside manner are a gift to each of his patients. We are grateful to have been able to work with him, give him the highest marks, and will certainly seek him out for any future plastic surgery needs. Thank you Dr. Loewenstein!
