Ive always had large breasts, first bra was baught at age 7.. After having children my breasts didn't go back, and the pain in my neck, the dents, and back pain became intolerable. Had some issues with lumps found in my breasts and in conversation with my gyn she suggested a medical BR to help the ability to see the lumps and releave the pain. The BR was approved and will be paid by insurance. My initial question to my plastic surgeon surrounding the TT was asking about getting rid of the post duo me c-sections that I have, the flap of skin that holds over which have to be tucked into my pants that drive me insane!! Little to know that "the flap" could be removed via TT!! After much thought... Knowing that I am not having more kids.. I decided to do it!! Excited but scared!!

On my way to the surgery, packed a front opening pj set, sports bra, cozy socks, and most importantly my favorite Chapstick.
Nervous but I keep thinking of how easy it will be to sleep and exercise!! I pulled a back and shoulder muscle the last time I tried to exercise, and haven't been able to sleep well in months. Cant wait to wake up but worried about the anesthesia...

Day one was tough!! Had surgery at 7am, surgeons were great, woke up in recovery area with minimal discomfort, mostly in my throat bc of the breathing tube. Having to stand up to go tithe ladies room was tough since I'm 5feet tall and once I returned they put me in a recliner, so pushing myself back on it was tough and a bit painful. Looking up at the nurse made me dizzy, but I made it to the ladies room, had to wait a bit to actually pee I'm guessing the catheter had something to do with that. Nurses helped me change into my pj's, crocs gave me animal crackers (so that i had something in my stomach) and rolled me out, I was dizzy!! Getting in the car was ok we drove our small car which is closer to the ground makin it easier to get into. The NYC bumps were inevitable but my husband did the best he could to avoid them. Got home took my painkillers, stool softener, neausea suppressant, and made it to bed. Slept for a while until the pain started up again, tolerable until the third hour... Had to pee that was no easy feat. My husband emptied my drains since just looking at them made me feel like I was going to pass out. Made it back to bed but sat because I was feeling neaseas and sure enough I vomited about a cup of water, very painful but felt great afterwards. Had some clear chicken soup and small bites of crackers before the meds, which helped settle my stomach but the pain meds are not suppressing the pain for the 4 hours.... Very intolerable right after the third hour, called my doc and he recommended taking an OTC to increase the time, which I did and I'm hoping for the best. A lot of burning pain in the abdomen, and pain at the breast incision. Let's hope tomorrow is a whole lot better. Pics soon to come.

Very professional, bedside manner is impeccable! Makes patients feel very comfortable, and explains everything thoroughly. I had a question in between appointments, sent him an email and received a response within the hour. My husbands thoughts after meeting him; "he's very calm"Updated on 25 Jul 2012:He is overall excellent, the most professional doctor I have ever been a patient for. If you feel uncomfortable being completely naked in front of other people, this is the doctor for you, he will never make you feel or give you a judgmental eye. I chose Dr. Hamawy after having met with another surgeon; I also read several reviews and every bio available on the internet. I was impressed with his years in the service as well as the reasons for his practice; my first visit exceeded all expectations that I had read.
