From the outset Ms Prousskaia and her team were amazing at always explaining what was going to happen, how long it would take, and what the outcome would most lightly be and what to look out for along the way, always reassuring me and answering directly but kindly any questions I had. I realised my breasts would be, 'sisters, not twins' meaning I would have a very good match which was true. I had been through a mastectomy, 6 rounds of chemotherapy, 15 twelve minute sessions of radiotherapy and a year of herceptin so was feeling delicate. I had to consider whether to put myself through this major operation and then another, smaller operation of a nipple reconstruction, uplift of the left breast and nipple tattoo.
