About my surgery day experience:
My admission time was 10:00 but I didn’t get taken in until 11:45 and surgery was at around 2pm. This was a bit annoying as I didn’t know I was having an afternoon surgery so I hadn’t had food or water since before midnight and was starting to feel a bit sick and dehydrated. The staff were fairly friendly and before surgery I had to have a pregnancy test and get changed into my robes and have the anaesthesia needle fitted into my hand. The room you are waiting in once in your robes is a medium sized room with 3 beds in, which was nice as you were able to talk to the other ladies who were in there. I have not had surgery before but the man who did the anaesthetic seems to be very good as I have had very little effects from it and he said it may leave me with a sore throat but I don’t feel anything. I don’t remember waking up from the surgery but both of the nurses seemed very nice and answered any questions I had. When I woke up it was a very painful feeling of tightness but the nurse gave me some painkillers and the anaesthesian explained to me before (and after) that this was normal. After about 30-45 minutes this pain was much less although obviously you will still feel it I assume for a few weeks till they have settled. The pain is okay so far after about two hours I was able to leave and go back to my hotel which was a couple of minutes walk from the hospital but I was able to do this with not much pain (my boyfriend carried my bags etc as I wouldn’t have been able to carry anything). About 4 hours after I remember waking up I am starting to feel a bit more pain so soon I will take some more painkillers but overly I feel fine
The thing I was most worried about was the wait before and after surgery but as you are in a room with other people it’s actually not too bad of an experience and I have even added one lady on Facebook so we can stay in touch :). The time does fly by quite fast. I was also worried about waking up and hating the way my boobs looked on my body. Thankfully I am actually over the moon with how they look so far and I can’t wait to get a proper look at them. I feel like the photos the surgeons take never do them any justice due to the angles etc but even on those I feel happy. Can’t wait till they settle down and drop, will finally have the boobs of my dreams!! (I hope).
The first sleep was not a great experience. Surprisingly I wasn’t tired after I woke from the operation, between the start of the operation and waking up it was about 2 hours I am usually a front and side sleeper so despite rearranging my pillows 500 x and wearing comfy pyjamas and sleep masks (and being made a bit drowsy by my medicine) i did not get much sleep. Woke up feeling quite achy but after the pain killers I felt alright again. Popped into the clinic to see dr Giuseppe before I left London and he was really kind, at first he seemed quite abrupt during my consultations but once you speak to him properly he is a kind man who makes you feel at ease. All was fine with the boobs they were as expected and I hadn’t been bleeding. Took a sneaky picture of them with my bra undone earlier and so exited for the results already.
Will write more about my experience in a few days time :)

Thanks for sharing. I would be really interested in following your journey for the next four weeks. I am due to go in for my op on Saturday 12 Jane 2019. I am 5ft 5in and around 59kg, I am a 32B now and would like to go to a 32C. I have been advised by the surgeon to get 300cc implants but I have been worrying that they may be too large and I should go for a 275cc implant instead!

Hi Tracy, I will make sure to update this every couple of days! I was worried before my surgery that 355cc was going to be too big, although I haven’t got my end result yet I feel as though I’ve made the right choice by listening to my surgeon as I can imagine them dropping really well and with a t-shirt on at the moment they don’t look big at all :)

Before and after pictures

Here are the pictures of before and after my surgery. Have my first wound care appointment on Monday so will try and get a picture of them then.
I am currently 1dpo and have been okay all day but the pain is getting a bit more intense now as the pain killers wear off. Feels like an intense cramp but my boobs are on fire... also so bloated at the moment but hopefully that will pass tomorrow.

Had a wound care appointment today, all was fine and only took about 5 minutes. Was taking 2 cocodamol 4 times a day but that was making me feel drowsy and bloated so I’ve cut that and am just taking the one 4 times a day with ibruprofen. Slept badly last night, my right boob keeps cramping up and feeling uncomfortable. Also I am so constipated, didn’t realise how much of an issue this would be but it’s making me feel so nauseous and uncomfortable. If it wasn’t for the constipation I think I’d be feeling a lot better than I am though. Can’t be bothered to take off my bra and band to take a photo today but will try tomorrow.
Thank you for paying it forward by sharing your personal experience in such detail.
