How it works
- Our highly-trained Review Moderation team evaluates all reviews before they're published to ensure they're written by people like you and not a member of a doctor's office.
- This multi-step process takes up to 24 hours from review submission to publication.
- Doctors can't pay to have reviews removed or hidden.
- Reviews are only removed at the reviewer's request or if they violate our Terms of Service.

Hi everyone-
I don't usually share personal experiences online like this but thought I would give it a try as my surgery is coming up and I'm feeling a bit nervous/anxious. I'd also like to help other people who are going through a similar experience or thinking of doing the same thing.
My story is that I'm approximately 5'5, 143lbs and most of my weight is in my thighs/legs. When I was in high school, I danced a lot so I was thinner but have always had larger thighs (hereditary) and flat stomach. Now that I'm older, I work out regularly and try to eat a relatively healthy diet but my thighs continue to be my problem area. I had a breast augmentation when I was about 20 and have been really happy with the results. Since around that time, I've also been wanting to get my thighs done but didn't start pursuing it as an option until earlier this year (around May). Since May, I've had four consultations with three different doctors. The first two doctors simply didn't feel right and the experiences weren't very personable. I felt like both of their practices had a lot of clients in and out and might have been more about the money which is not how you want to feel when you're looking for a surgeon. Anyway, after a google search (the other two surgeons were word of mouth), I found Dr Cheng. I had to wait awhile for the first consult but his reviews were really good so I wanted to see him. He was very personable, offered good advice and was able to answer any questions I had. He also insisted that I come back for a second consultation (you only pay for the first one) just to make sure I didn't have any more questions, etc. On the second consultation, one of the office staff took my pre-op photos (Georgia, who has also been great by the way) and Dr Cheng answered any more questions I had. We decided together to go ahead with the three areas on the thighs (anterior, inner and outer) under general anesthesia to achieve the result I wanted. I picked up my compression garment today and now I'm just trying not to think about everything too much for the next few days. Hopefully on my next update, I'll have my own 'before' photos to put up.
