Broad Band Laser to Treat Thread Veins - Brisbane, AU

My nose looks florid because of sun exposure which has caused tiny broken veins. I've become quite aware of it, especially since it accentuates my nasolabial folds. Someone I trust implicitly recommended Broadband Laser with a dermatologist here in Brisbane - Dr Basit Mirza.
Dr Mirza advised me I couldn't have laser treatment without have a full-body skin-check first, to eliminate the risk of skin cancers. I paid roughly $200 for that.
I had an appointment booked for his nurse to treat my thread veins a few days later. During the treatment the nurse told me it can be difficult to assess the intensity my skin would need, therefore, if there were areas that did not respond I should come back and she'd do it again. She seemed uncertain about how well it would work and the treatment seemed rather vague and hit-or-miss.
I waited four days, could see no difference whatsoever to the redness on my nose, so rang the nurse. I told her the laser appeared to have done nothing at all. She said she'd speak to Dr Mirza. When she rang back she told me Dr Mirza said he'd told me it might take 2-3 treatments to see a result. Therefore if I wanted to see a result I needed to pay another $200-400. Well, since I could see ZERO improvement, do you think I felt like sending more $ his way, especially considering his laissez-faire attitude to my complaint?! No!
