I've been thinking about having eye lids surgery...

I've been thinking about having eye lids surgery (both upper and lower) for over 2 years. I took my time, I read about the procedure and the risks and rewards. I did my due-diligence before selecting a plastic surgeon. Dr. Shortt's name surfaced at the top of my list after doing all my research and that decision was the best I made. I had to be sure I found the right professional for this surgery: after all, this procedure was going to happen on my face and the fear of having a bad surgery made me take my time. I took down the list of all people performing this surgery in my region. Then I eliminated all those who were not plastic surgeons. I then validated the accreditation of each one and checked if there was any issues reported with both the College of Surgeons and Physicians of Ontario and the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons. Then I compared the information each of those surgeons provided on their website: are they being accurate and truthful about what to expect from this surgery (based on what I learned from The Mayo Clinic). I then visited the RATEMDS site and read everyone's comment. So it was a process of elimination for me and after all this research Dr. Shortt's name came on top of my list.

I was expecting great results from Dr.Shortt because I had done my homework. But he surpassed my expectations. He actively listened to me during our appointments and fully understood my philosophy; I didn't want to look 30 again, I simply wanted to look like me but more refreshed and natural. And that's exactly what he did. No one at work noticed, none of my friends can tell I had a procedure, but everyone stopped asking me if I'm tired...because I don't look tired any more. Dr. Shortt not only perform a perfect surgery on my upper and lower lids but he also explained everything that I should be expecting in details. I even received a 5 pages package describing every phases: what to do weeks before to properly prepare, what to expect the day of the surgery and the following days/weeks. I was prepared and knowledgeable and it made for a quick recovery. One of my biggest fear was to be in pain and I am still shocked by the fact that I felt no pain at all. The nurses were very nice and comforting, making sure I was calm and ready for the procedure. Actually everyone at Briarwood Clinic are great and provide superior customer service. Thank you Dr. Shortt for a perfect surgery and perfect results.
