Breast Reduction Uneven Size 2 Weeks Post Op

6 weeks post reduction

WORTH IT
They are still not symmetrical but definite improvement. I am very happy with the size in my clothes. And my back doesn’t hurt at all, ever. I can wear tops and dresses with just a shelf bra in them, and even without a bra in some clothes. It is life-changing.

Thanks for posting an update! Swelling can definitely cause asymmetry at this stage but I'm glad to hear it's getting better. Keep us posted. :)

ORIGINAL POST

Breast Reduction Uneven Size 2 Weeks Post Op

I’ve had back issues for 15 years and wearing a 38G bra for the most part. Blue cross covered. My breast reduction @ my surgeon was highly recommended. I paid 1600 for my deductible. Two weeks post op , and I am happy how they look in clothing because not only does my back feel GOOD, I look much slimmer. However, I do have concern that one side is so much bigger than the other. It is noticeable. I am attaching two pictures. Of course, I know that swelling Can be an issue. I did have drains on big sides. I have looked online trying to find this issue with other people. I don’t really see any reviews for the person having the problem that was temporary and they became symmetrical down the road. . I do see a lot of reviews from patients having asymmetry after a breast reduction, and they have to get revision. I was hoping to see reviews were at two weeks postop others had the issue, but that it took care of itself on its own.
