7 weeks on

Ok 7 weeks on, feels like slow progress now but I'm always still thrilled and delighted with the outcome, but it's a long time to heal. My boobs still hurt all the time and I'm aware of them. I still have one side that's weeping which I worry about but it reminds me that I'm still early in the process. Not sure what to do with that as resting isn't an option for me right now. Still loving the size but I think I'd still liked them to be smaller.

Just over 5 weeks and I feel amazing

Just over 5 weeks and I feel I turned a corner with energy levels and sleeping more comfortably. It was like suddenly bang I felt normal again and did normal household chores without feeling I was dragging myself around. I'm also more able to lay on my sides without as much pain so that's made sleeping better. I am still using tape all the time which my surgeon said I need to do but I have a look when I change the tape and the scars are healing really well. I'm still in my post op bras because they feel comfortable. I tried wearing a new non underwire bra yesterday and it was quite uncomfortable, maybe too tight or wrong size. I'll just wait that out a bit longer. I feel like I didn't do much recovering because life took over so quickly after surgery; I was driving after a couple of days and back to normal in no time even though I was dragging myself along and in pain. I didn't take any painkillers other than panadol the first 2 days whilst in hospital. I love not having those massive things hanging off me, I feel light and attractive again. I went clothes shopping the other day and the excitement when dress just zipped straight up over my chest; wow the best feeling. So happy!!

New bra shopping

I just bought a bra off the shelf for the first time in as far back as I can remember, and I didn't try a million bras on. A non underwire, size 12 c/d and omg it fits!
