2 month post op

Went for my 2 month post op and got the go ahead to resume normal activities. I can start doing more intense exercises to tone up my abdomen. Something I've been wanting to do for a long time but couldn't because of the large amount of excess fat along with years of back issues. I went and got measured for a bra today and was very ecstatic. I'm measuring a 38C now, I was a 40G. My doctor said I still have some swelling but to expect that until at least 3 months post op. I can't remember the last time I was this small. I love it. I feel a lot more comfortable with my body now and how I look now. I have the before and after pictures from my appointment, now I know why I felt so uncomfortable.

6 Week Update

I am now 6 weeks post-op and I'm feeling great. My incisions are healed and are starting to fade. I still have some back fat on my upper back, but I might do liposuction to remedy that. I am very pleased with by breast size now, even though there is still some swelling. I'm wearing a regular wireless bra, something I never thought I would wear again. I went from a 38-40G to a 38-40C, never thought I would be this small again. I feel young again except for the arthritis in my back, were the damage is already done. The swelling in my stomach has gone down even more. If I had to do it all over again I would, it's well worth it.

Breast Reduction and Tummy Tuck

I decided to go see Dr Laura Gowen for a consult for a reduction and TT since she took insurance. I was a full 40G and had trouble finding bras to fit. I've spent many years dealing with back pain and neck pain. My insurance covered my reduction only. She took out 693cc in the left breast and 793 in the right breast, for a total of 3.5 lbs. The tummy tuck she took out 8.5 lbs of excess skin and fat, I'm still swollen but that will take some time to go down. When I woke up my back pain disappeared and I felt so much lighter. I took pain meds at night for the first two nights for sleep and that was it. I am now 4 weeks and 3 days post op and couldn't feel any better. I did get an infection in my right breast but the doctor put me on heavy antibiotics right away, she didn't know if it was an actual infection or fluid. I'm looking forward to being able to exercise more and not be discouraged by the pain. It really took a toll on my mental state as I hated how I looked. If I had to do it over again I would have done it years ago. I would recommend her to anyone that would prefer a woman surgeon, she was awesome.
